The photography of this property is amazing. We were shocked the house isn't 4,384 sq.ft. as advertised. It's approximately 2,750 (which I measured out) - and only when you add the detached pool "room" you get closer to the advertised number. The house sleeps 16, however only has seating for approximately 9 or 10 in the small living room (which is using the bench seat). 16 people in 2,700ish sq.ft. is tight!
The yard was okay, a lot of holes, and dog poop. Which is something to consider when you are encouraging your kids to play outside.
Watch the step outside of the living room toward the grills as there is a significant drop and a second step should be installed.
The pool room has very high humidity due to no dehumidification system or pool cover. When we arrived, the caretaker was blowing cold air into the space to get the moisture out - though i am confident this is not a good long term strategy.
The kitchen was nice because it had two refrigerators, which was great for food storage - probably one of the best setups I have seen in a VRBO.
The most of the beds were very comfortable, which was nice.
For the amount we were charged to stay at the property, it was grossly misrepresented. (into the five figures) For that much per night you expect pool towels at a minimum - and a $400 charge to heat the pool is laughable.
A house at Glendorn or a nice suite at Inn at Perry Cabin, with a family and lots of activities, food, babysitters, etc. will cost you about the same per night - however the experience is a bit different. You win some, you lose some and i lost - that's life.
