Nous sommes une maison construite sur mesure, conçue par l'architecte du Maine, Caleb Johnson, et installée sur un terrain boisé qui surplombe le marais de la piscine de Biddeford, un refuge d'oiseaux de Rachel Carson. Nous sommes à 2 minutes à pied du centre du campus de l'Université de la Nouvelle-Angleterre et à 7 minutes à pied de Hills Beach, une plage isolée du Maine qui, à marée basse, propose des promenades menant aux îles voisines. Nous sommes également à seulement 10 minutes en voiture ou à vélo de la plage de Fortunes Rocks, qui offre 3 km de sable et est réputée pour son surf. Biddeford Pool (3 miles) Kennebunkport (10 miles) Old Orchard Beach (12 miles) et Portland (20 miles) sont et facile en voiture.

Notre suite (appartement) comprend une chambre avec salle de bain et un salon pouvant accueillir plusieurs personnes sur un canapé-lit inclinable et un matelas. Une deuxième salle de bain complète se trouve dans le hall du premier étage et sert les invités dormant dans le salon. Nous n'avons pas de cuisine complète mais un petit réfrigérateur, un micro-ondes et un grille-pain. Des fournitures pour le petit-déjeuner continental sont disponibles dans le salon. Un bain à remous, des équipements de plage, deux vélos, des vêtements sont quelques-uns des équipements inclus.
Lors de votre séjour dans cet appartement, vous ne serez qu'à quelques minutes à pied de Plage de Freddy Beach. Un parc aquatique et un bain à remous sont disponibles. Cet appartement comprend des équipements et services comme une cheminée et une télévision.

Little paradise
Thank you to Phil and Brenda to have shared with us their little paradise 😊 The place is well located in a quiet area, the courtyard is a beautiful garden with plenty of flowers, a terrasse and a jacuzzi and the appartment was perfect to accomodate a family of four and well decorated.

Biddeford Pool Reunion
I was thrilled to find this lovely rental when I was planning our trip to Biddeford Pool, Maine. The property was tucked away surrounded by a beautiful background of trees. It was easy to find, well situated, and very roomy for me and my 3 adult children. The unit was very clean and nicely appointed (very New England) and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay (the second bathroom was a bonus for sure!). Our hosts were wonderful - friendly, easy going and accommodating. Should I find myself returning to Biddeford Pool in the future, I would definitely rent this beautiful unit again.

The perfect Maine retreat!
We loved our stay at Brenda and Phil's home! They were so welcoming to us and made every effort to make the stay comfortable and memorable for us. Just like many of the other reviews state, it truly is like staying at your grandparents house and the property was truly so beautiful and the perfect spot for us to stay as we explored so many gorgeous towns on Maine's southern coast. The rooms were so spacious and communication was seamless if we ever needed any extra supplies etc. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Thank you Brenda and Phil for making our Maine trip truly unforgettable!

Cozy hideaway close to beaches!
We had a fabulous visit. Our cozy room had a dedicated shower, coffee, snacks and comfortable seating. The room across was also great and roomy and had a fridge and additional snacks. Our hostess and host were delightful and so helpful. We felt every little detail had been addressed. The outside grounds were beautiful and the hot tub was so relaxing amidst the fruit trees and flowers. We will definitely stay here again. Although it was just my husband and myself we could have had 2 other adults with us in the opposite room which had a large couch and two twin beds. The beach was close by car and as we were visiting family it was a perfect cozy retreat for us.

Refined Serenity
We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was staying with Benda and Phil (and Ollie). From the remote setting, to the quiet upstairs apartment, this truly had everything we needed for 9 days. Brenda has decorated with the traveler in mind. Sleeping area was separate from the "living" area. We utilized the small desk to use our laptop, and overall had plenty of space to spread out. The window blind on remote control was great in the mornings, there were plenty of blankets, pillows, pool towels and even bath robes. The snacks they supplied were perfect to get our mornings started (bagels, cream cheese, muffins, jams, peanut butter, OJ.....). Brenda and Phil have full lives, and stay busy, but were always happy to take a break from their yard work to chat with us and to hear about our day and future travel plans. We try to get to this area at least once per year, and look forward to staying here again.

Phil and Brenda's place was a very nice place to stay while we were running the Maine Coast half marathon. The hosts thought of every detail and made us feel right at home. We would certainly stay here again when in the area!

A wonderful stay
We were in Biddeford visiting our daughter who is a freshman at UNE. Loved the property and the location being walking distance to campus made for a wonderful visit. Already planning our next stay for move in for the Fall Semester!

An excellent, cozy stay
I was visiting family who goes to UNE and you cannot be closer to campus than this. That being said, it was also impressively well isolated from the noise you would associate with a college campus. Every morning we would wake up and see the beautiful marsh behind the property, and not think we were a 2 minute drive from college dorms. The accomodations were excellent, we had plenty of room to ourselves for our stay The hosts have tons of recommendations for any sort of venue you may be looking for. All in all, a wonderful stay, and I will be visiting again!

Like staying with your grandparents
This was not the first time we’ve stayed at Brenda & Phil’s home and won’t be the last. They’re so thoughtful and caring and out such detail into their home. It is like you’re staying at your grandparents’ home because the space you’re in is connected to their house, but a separate entrance. They like to make sure you’re happy and comfortable. Every amenity you could imagine is there and we’ll be back yet again next year.

A perfect introduction to Maine hospitality!
My first visit to Maine. Friends of mine vacation in Maine annually. They were lodging nearby. The Johnsons' home is beautiful. Their son did an awesome job designing the structure. I particularly enjoyed the AC. The two room suite was just the right size. Thank you for being the perfect hosts! Definitely will consider this property again when I return to Maine.

Amazing Hospitality!
We stayed here for 2 night (2 adults & 2 teens). Brenda and Phil were extremely accommodating! We were driving from Mystic and the weather forecast was horrible rain and storms. We left early to get ahead of it so I messaged and asked if we could check in early. Brenda got back to me very quickly and they were able to accommodate us. When we arrived Brenda greeted us and showed us around. She goes above and beyond! There were bagels, snacks, juice, candies, etc. left for us. She even asked if there was anything specific that my kids would eat. Everything was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for what we needed. I would highly recommend!

Location is Good - Owner is Nice
This property is in a really great location for the exploring that we wanted to do, the room served its purpose and the owner we met was very nice. Depending on your needs, here is a little more information to help anyone looking to determine if this is a good fit: • Owner is friendly and will meet you at the door several times throughout your stay as you go in and out • Great location if you want to explore Portland, Boothbay Harbor or Salem - we branched out lots! • To get to the space, you will go through the owner's laundry room and up skinny stairs - as noted in another review, it is not as separate as you think it may be from the listing • The bedroom is situated above the owner's space • The hot tub is right outside the owner's space • Walking to the beach as described is probably not the most ideal or safe • In July - mosquitos are pretty rampant, and sitting outside in the lovely space at the firepit is a non-option unless you put chemicals on - we tried :) • As noted in another review, the doors are not locked. You do not have the capability of locking behind you and if you are going to be late, you will need to let the owner know so the door remains unlocked for you • As noted - there is no kitchen area-prepping anything may be difficult (depending on complexity) if you want to plan some meals in All in all, we had a great visit to Maine! This property would be a perfect fit (and obviously has) for some.

It's a magical place

Our 4 nights here offered everything we had hoped for: beauty, relaxation, all the comforts of a well cared for property, and the graciousness and generosity of our hosts (both human and canine!) Very nice place
It was a very cute place to stay in a quiet area. There was no door lock so we were able to just walk in and head upstairs. The husband greeted us with their dog. He was very friendly. We did notice a bunch of popcorn under the couch, which was not a big deal. We picked it up. Also, our second night there we noticed a random disposable razor on the ledge of the shower that we did not notice the first night there. Overall, it was a nice place to stay but beware of the slanted ceilings/walls. We did hit our heads a couple times trying to get to the beds on the back side of the couch.

Comfortable, Convenient, Clean
Phil and Brenda, our hosts, made our stay very comfortable and welcoming. They both were very friendly and made us feel right at home. The description of the property is exactly what is posted and is very clean. There is a well maintained and clean hot tub to use as well as a fire pit with wood. The natural woods setting is quiet and peaceful. I don't think we heard any traffic when we were there. It is on a local traveled road, so not much noise. If you are looking to be near beautiful Maine beaches and explore what southern Maine has to offer, this is a great central location. We would definitely return for another stay and also recommend this to any of our friends.
