Great Location and Comfortable Stay, but Some Improvements Needed
Our stay at Big Bear Lodge was overall enjoyable. The location is fantastic—close to everything, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms were spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable, and we got a great night’s sleep.
However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. It would be nice if the rooms had bathrobes for added comfort. Upon check-in, we weren’t given our breakfast vouchers and had to ask for them the next morning. Additionally, the “prepaid” breakfast was misleading, as it only provided a $12 discount rather than covering the full meal cost—something that wasn’t explained to us in advance.
Another small but important detail: the coffee and tea bar should be better stocked, especially in the mornings. There was always something missing, whether it was sugar, hot water, tea bags, or coffee.
One major highlight of our stay was the helpful maintenance staff. We had issues with our tire chains and ended up stuck in the driveway. Thankfully, the maintenance guy came to the rescue and helped us get out of the situation-he was incredibly kind and helpful!
Despite these minor issues, we had a pleasant stay.
