We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Resort. We love the convenience of walking to shops and restaurants. The location is excellent! Super close to Alpine Slide. The one issue we had during our stay was the temperature control for the room. The room’s temperature stayed at 78-79 degrees throughout the whole time and it was really unbearable. Even though the weather outside was cold, sleeping in a hot and stuffy room was not pleasant. My family and I did not have a good sleep during the 2 nights we were there. We still enjoyed the resort for its proximity to many shops and activities.

Beds were very uncomfortable. You cannot control the temperature in your room. Room stayed hot. Front desk was not helpful. Asked questions about my booking, was brushed off every time. Asked for a receipt at checkout and was told they could not give me one because I did not book through them. Then charged me more than what I booked for. Would not stay again.

Great Location, Great check in, bar was not good.
Location is great, right in the Village. The bar in the hotel was terrible. No working beer taps, 90% of bottled beers advertised as available were out of stock. Bartender didn't know how to make drinks, ordered a Moscow mule, wasn't even close. Check in was excellent, friendly staff and was able to check in hours early.

Awful stay!! When we got in our room after midnight the day after Christmas, the high window in the room was open with a box fan running in the window sill. Despite it being in the 30s outside, our room was over 80 degrees. We turned on the A/C, which only blew hot air. I couldn't call down to the front desk because the phone was broken. Also, upon ck in, we were told the hot tub was being repaired and if the part worked, it would be working the next day. All night our first night the door to our room kept rattling loudly like someone was trying to open the door. Several times my fiance and I shot right up thinking someone was trying to come in. The carpet was FILTHY with a huge, round, crunchy stain on the floor. Baseboards were also filthy and the bed had springs and lumps you could feel. We went to the front desk to ask if we could change rooms as the A/C wasn't working. Women at front desk said she was going to send someone to repair and it seemed our request was quite an inconvenience for her; she wasvery flustered although there was NO line at the front desk. I came back a few hours later to find the window open and hot air blowing feom the A/C. Our room was 76 degrees while be8ng in the 40s outside. I went bk to the front desk as the phone still didn't work. Same woman, even ruder, said it wasnt working because we turnedit off. Ummmm...seriously??? I assured her I know how to turn on an A/C lol. Few more request-never fixed. Lobby coffee area was a gross mess too!

The AC in the room was not working So we were not able to sleep at all. So next day they gave us the new room but AC in that room was not working as well. So in 2 days we hardly slept for 2 hours. We suppose to be relaxed in the hotel but that was not the case.

Very convenient & clean
Great hotel for families and for anyone that wants to be walking distance from downtown area of Big Bear. Room was clean and their beds were very comfortable. The only negative is that if you are on the first floor, you can definitely hear the people on top of you walking in their room. And if that room has kids...well, you can guess the rest.

The room is very small. It was so hot, our second night we purchased a room fan, still was too hot. We couldn’t get the temperature of the room below 79* We ended up Leaving the next morning, forfeiting the cost of the last night. We tried contacting the front desk, could not get through.

If I understand they are a Holidayinn Hotel. At the reception was busy which is understandable, but the way of staff or Management was irritated because how busy they were, not understanding that. Room was with a smell of vinegar?, I did have to go at a convenience store to purchase an aerosol spray for the smell on the restroom and the room. Refrigerator in the room was with the smell of vinegar, I think they do cleaning with Vinegar I assuming. What matters the smell was Not pleasant. Drawer from TV stand was broken cutting close. What unpleasant time I had with my family. Now the Restaurant part awful I did not want to remember the name. Staff not professional, and if you work in a Hospitality industry at least dress accordingly, or ask a Manager how to dress. First impression matters, and mostly if you’re serving food.
