Nous accueillons cet endroit magique par des chutes d'eau en cascade également connues sous le nom de Dad's Place créant un son apaisant qui ne manquera pas de laver tous vos soucis. À seulement 5-10 minutes de tous les restaurants locaux et des magasins de Boone. À seulement 15-20 minutes du centre-ville de Blowing Rock. L'un des décors les plus remarquables au bord de l'eau que j'ai jamais vu dans les montagnes NC. C'est un endroit idéal pour une escapade adulte, nous n'accueillons pas les enfants de moins de 12 ans en raison de la proximité des eaux tumultueuses. Une chambre avec un lit Queen. Amazing property
Overall was a great stay. Had an issue with the first floor toilet and it wasn’t operational until the last full day of our stay which was the reason for four stars instead of 5. Highly recommend this if you love a natural water feature (we loved cold plunging in the creek for our NYE stay) and an amazing location close to tons the area had to offer (breweries, skiing, hiking,restaurants). But still quiet and removed from the bustle of busy streets at night. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to disconnect and be together!
My husband and I came the weekend before Thanksgiving for 3 nights. We had a GREAT time doing nothing! It was a great trip to relax and disconnect from the hustle of life. We will absolutely be back next year for another trip. The creek was wonderful (caught one small trout, not big enough to keep) and woke up the first day to 6” of snow! It was stunning. The house location is perfect proximity to town. Easy 5 minute drive to the mall, brewery or downtown area. We loved the hot tub as well. Everything was clean and cozy. Plenty of towels and blankets. We brought our own pillows. Only thing we couldn’t figure out was how to turn the heat down. We got a little hot occasionally.

Cascade Dreams
Our cabin for 2 was just what we needed. The location was on the creek and we spent most of our time on the deck, playing cards, cooking and eating and just enjoying the beauty and sounds of the creek. Short drive to Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway, where we took the Southern route. Loved all the breathtaking overlooks, hiked to Linville Falls and ended up at Hwy 221 where we enjoyed our favorite meal at Famous Louise’s! !

Boone retreat
Used to have a home in Colorado but had to sell due to high altitude. Checking Boone out to see how the weather is in the summer time. Very impressed with the area. Has lots of activities to offer. Property was as advertised and we especially enjoyed the bubbling creek out the back door. House was a great location to Boone. Very clean. Every thing you need in the kitchen. We definitely will be back.

What a delightful stay we had at this gem of a cabin. It was just right! The gorgeous mountain stream and hot tub on the deck were perfect ways to reconnect with the mountains in a place convenient to town that conveys a feeling of remoteness.

Rustic but adequate. If you plan on using the oven, bring a thermometer. Temp. gets hotter than dial settings. Refrigerator crispers are duct taped. Other than those the cabin was very clean. Peaceful stream with small waterfall in back. Another cabin across the stream and 2 close cabins on each side. So not as private as picture indicates. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a nice cabin. Wasn’t the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. The pictures was misleading. We didn’t get to use the hot tub until later the 2nd night because the day we came the water had to be changed. The good thing is we knew it was clean. But one thing that helped us book was the hot tub and it being secluded. Which is wasn’t secluded. That was misleading also. Clean and nice place over all. But sure wasn’t worth the money we had to pay.

Roaring waters Soothes
Dad’s Place was wonderful getaway for us. The place was clean cosey and the constant roaring of the water soothed our mind and body. “Loved it” and can wait to come back early spring and summer.

Overall nice cabin just not what was portrayed for distance from nearby cabins. Could have been my fault for not contacting property manager prior to making reservations. Will not rent agian just because I prefer a more rural setting.

Overall very nice.
The cabin is on a quite dead end one car width gravel road. It's old and a bit run down. The upstairs has very squeaky floors so that late night trip to the bathroom is noisy. The bed was a little squeaky also. The hot tub was small but comfortable for 2 people. The back yard has a firepit, well stocked with wood. The stream running thru the backyard was the best feature of the property.

Rustic and a great get away
My wife and I were looking for a quiet and pleasant get away. We found a real jewel. Close to every thing in Boone.(with in 5 minutes) The water falls are so relaxing and soothing. Very simple cabin and thanks to very small tv, we didn't waste our time watching it. Able to read and relax and appreciate each others company. Recommend it highly!

Beautiful view but not great stay
We wanted to love our time at this cabin, but it was quite outdated, the AC did not work for our entire stay, and the grill grates were completely rusted out. The view and sounds of the creek were wonderful though. We would loved to have stayed here again, but we will find a different place when traveling to Boone on our next trip.
