Evolve does not communicate through the VRBO app, even though there is a “chat” feature to contact the host directly and message them through the VRBO app. All of my initial inquiries went unanswered. Once I was able to get in contact with Evolves help line, accessing the property went fairly smooth. The condition of the home was drastically misrepresented in the photographs. The yard was completely overgrown (found out the landscaping crew had been on vacation for 3 weeks). Dirty band-aides, cigarette butts and bottle caps around the pool area. Candy under the couches. Rust and something green growing in the window of the hallway bathroom. Burnt out bulbs and janky wiring everywhere (fire hazards). Dirty kitchen appliances, that were not cleaned after the last guests. The home is suffering from serious neglect and it looks like they are simply pocketing the cleaning and maintenance fees and not using the money to upkeep the house. When I reported these issues, the management company wanted us to spend our vacation time waiting around the house for them to send people by to fix issues that should have been addressed prior to us checking in. At least the bed sheets and towels were clean. Very disappointed, but we were 2300 miles from home and had no other options. Evolve has done nothing to rectify the situation and getting ahold of someone that can help has become increasingly more difficult. If they fixed up the property and did some routine maintenance, it could be nice.
