The house itself is lovely and in a great location for visiting Brighton, although its definitely a much longer walk to Brighton centre than the 30minutes suggested!!. It was spacious with a lovely big kitchen/ dining room. Beds were extremely comfortable and lovely new carpets throughout.
Unfortunately the cleaning wasn’t up to spec but I have been in contact with the agent and they were very communicative, apologetic and offered compensation. So this is unlikely to be a problem again.
Maintenance wise, however, we were quite disappointed, and this comes down to the owners not the agents. There were broken blinds, lack of light shades, missing paint patches on a bedroom wall and the utensils and cookware seen better days, wo he pots and pans not fit to use. When paying the amount we paid for three nights I would expect the property to be in perfect condition with modern generally unworn equipment.
The owner was originally very good at communication, however I was very disappointed that when the above was mentioned in a friendly constructive feedback email I received no reply whatsoever. Feels like they got our money so not bothered anymore.
