Tiny room, lively location, hard for Uber to find

The hotel itself seems jammed into a very crowded part of Cairo. Our Uber driver had a hard time finding it, and then getting to it, because of the narrow lanes with cars parked on both sides. The main street nearby is very lively and bright, though, with nice stores, and good restaurants. The hotel is walking distance to Tahrir square and the Egyptian Museum. The room we had was TINY, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was good. I would say, do not use their car service to the Cairo airport - we were quoted USD $30 by the hotel, whereas, we were able to hire an Uber for just around $5 for the same trip!

I stayed at this hotel recently, and while the staff was quite friendly and helpful, the overall experience was disappointing. The cleanliness of the hotel was below standard, with noticeable issues in both the rooms and common areas. Additionally, the location is not ideal, it didn’t feel very safe or convenient for exploring. Unfortunately, these factors outweighed the hospitality, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Tired and dated, awful breakfast

The hotel is expensive for what it offers, as it is tired and dated. The breakfast is disgusting and there are multiple other hotels nearby offering the same/better service for half the price.

Worst hotel I’ve ever encountered - be sure to check the reviews - some of the 10/10 are clearly repeated with different names. We arrived and were kept waiting in a cafe area despite reception being manned. After 20 mins I spoke to reception who were incredibly rude and tapped on the keyboard for ages before flatly announcing ‘system is down’ and nothing else. We then witnessed a shouting match between him and other guests. In the meantime I checked the Expedia listing as this wasn’t aligned to our expectations based on ratings - lo and behold we found lots of duplicate reviews but with different names. Utter scam. We immediately left for a reputable establishment- avoid this hotel.

Hotel showed much better in photos than reality. Had a super high rating on hotels.com that seemed disconnected from the hotel’s reality. Bathroom very small. Breakfast room a bit run down. No lobby to speak of. Service was not rude but it did feel like every request was an opportunity to charge rather than provide good service.

Loud street noise into the early hours of the morning very audible from the room. Located on a narrow back street making uber or taxi access difficult. The rooms themselves are very basic, with a patchwork of repairs. Staff are very helpful. Booked based on the higher reviews which are misleading.

The hotel’s biggest drawbacks are its immediate surroundings and room assignment issues. The area feels somewhat unsafe and sketchy, especially at night, which may be uncomfortable for some travelers, though I did not encounter any safety problems personally.
