We had 3 generations come for a family reunion, ages 13 to 77. We had a great week and this was a beautiful area and home. This home has great TVs (however, we looked for over an hour for the dock TV remote and finally came upon it in a kitchen drawer w/ no batteries) & a beautiful covered patio on the basement level - great fire pit with bench and view of the lake. The screened in porch was a huge hit, as we could sit out there and enjoy meals with a beautiful lake view and no bugs! The dock has a wonderful bar area, bench seating and two picnic tables, as well as space to fish off the dock.
However, we did have one massive complaint and that is access to the dock! There is a very steep concrete sidewalk that was even difficult for the teenagers to get up and down. On the opposite side, there is a very rocky, torn up, steep road. You really need to rent a golf cart to access the dock - an additional $500 added to our weekly expenses. This was not stated in advance of our rental agreement. Even with the golf cart you can only use it on the very rocky torn up dirt road and the elderly had a hard time with the bouncing. This was a big stress to our stay.
Other issues included a shortage of towels, loud/squeaky door hinges, hair in shower drain and clogged drain, “do not touch” thermostat, not enough silverware, disorganized kitchen and toaster that only halfway worked.
We would not stay here again due to the dock issue but hopefully they can improve this for future guests.
