We are a family of 6. My wife and I and our 4 kids (ages 13, 11, 9, and 6)
Location:
Their private landing spot on the Nueces is perfect. It's right at a small rapid where the kids had a lot of fun swimming downstream. We bought a couple of tubes and floated down it a lot. There are some spots that are ankle deep, which would be perfect for very small kids, but also some spots that were around 5 feet deep, good for swimming, and also just standing in to cool off. The center part of the river is a bed of rocks, so it was easy to get out and walk back with the tubes and float down again. We kayaked upstream one day for a while and had a great time.
The home is very comfortable. Everything felt luxurious and nice. The beds, the towels, the rugs, the bathroom floor mats. It was great. They had several big TVs and streaming services included, which we enjoyed in between trips down to the river. The AC was able to keep the house cool even though it was reaching 108 degrees in the hottest parts of the day. The kitchen has nice appliances. We cooked every day and it was great. Soft couches and chairs, nice dining room, nice outside patio area for relaxing. We thought we might make a day trip to the Frio since we were there for 4 days, but we enjoyed this property so much we didn't want to leave.
FYI: my wife and I have Verizon and our phones didn't have service at all unless we were connected to their WiFi. My daughter has Mint Mobile (T-Mobile's towers) and it had good service.
