We went to celebrate a 30th birthday, I tried to contact the resort in 3 different ways (email through the Krystal website, through expedia and on instagram) to see whether they could do anything special for the birthday but didn't hear anything back at all. Luckily we were able to organise this when we got to the resort which helped, but I had also asked to have both of our rooms as close as possible. When we requested this at the front desk we were told rooms had not yet been assigned and they would make a note to put them together, yet when we checked it we realised that we were on complete opposite sides of the resort.
To make matters worse, the toilet didn't flush in our room, which we spoke to the front desk about on our first day, and even reminded them, but no one came to fix it during our three night stay!
The restaurants were okay, except one evening we went to the Italian restaurant and ended up eating the saltiest pizza I've ever had and one of us was even served undercooked, pink chicken.
I have been to several different all-inclusive resorts across Mexico and in Cancun, but this was by far my least favourite. Everywhere else the hospitality has been amazing and staff always made an effort to help in any way, but that was not the case here, instead we had staff who seemed unhappy and unwilling to help whenever we requested anything. If I had known it would have been this way then I wouldn't have booked it, especially to celebrate a big occasion.
