Clean hotel in the business district. Strange room layout which didn’t suit us. Shower suddenly went scolding hot midway through the shower and didn’t cool down for several minutes. The concierge made an announcement directly into our a room via a tannoy in the ceiling, like an Orwellian Star Trek computer. Very weird.

The best description would be to picture living in shoebox. There is no storage space or fridge. The outside coffee machine is a good idea I guess. There is a TV between the 2 double beds so you have to either squeeze between the first one to get to the second one; or roll over the first bed. The restaurant prices are extremely expensive. The breakfast was reasonable.

Great hotel stayed here 3 different times in one month. Wonderful staffs and great hospitality and very clean and great food and drinks.. Infact this is the only hotel I stay in when I visit Dar Es Salaam Tanzania. Thanks to the management for hiring wonderful staffs and keeping the facility very clean. Wonderful house keepers and front desk staffs and great restaurant staffs too.. I always have great experience here at CBD when my fiance and I visit Dar Es Salaam.. a great choice of hotel spot during my one month vacation..

Location, staff and breakfast were excellent! Easy walk to Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The room had a different layout and the mattress needed to be replaced, hollow in the middle! Also the walls were dark brown/black, so very dark.

Hotel overall was good. Just personally the decor wasn’t our taste and the layout of the standard room wasn’t right for us either. You could not watch TV in bed and stairs beside bed was a bit dangerous for us during the night. No kettle in room. Positive things were hotel was really quiet, good shower, good breakfast and the Red Bus route for tourist bus is right outside. Staff also very friendly. Good hotel if your budget conscious - for a short stay it did the job.
