We booked the leonardo hotel as a last minute stay. It was in a fantastic location and everything was within walking distance. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The cons of the hotel were that the parking was £25, to have a hot shower you had to leave both the shower and bathroom tap running at the same time for around 10 minutes before any hot water appeared in any of the taps and there was no complimentary bottled water in the room. Otherwise the bed was comfy and pillows were good. The room was a tad small but it had some nice touches like an iron and ironing board. Would stay here again if they fixed the bathroom water problem.

Nice stay

We love this hotel. Room clean and pleasant. Only downside is neighbour in next rooms TV was so loud we could hear every word. Woke us at 8. Water temp in bath was only warm. The reception staff was lovely. Parking is expensive but you can leave the car for 24 hours (even after check out)

Lovely hotel, staff were kind and helpful, room overall was nice, however a few bits of cleanliness could of been better and not the hotels fault but neighbouring rooms had no respect for people trying to sleep, slamming doors, talking loudly outside the room late at night.

Great staff and service

Staff were great! Bed was comfortable and really big and everything was clean. Only down fall was the toilet kept struggling to flush so was filling to the top with water and there was a constant noise which may have been the heating or something to do with the water.

Great hotel ,central location

A perfect location for the New Theatre Cardiff and also next to main shopping street of central Cardiff , We were greeted by front of house staff member Bank, whom upon arrival said I've given yourselves a room upgrade which we accepted gratefully . Very clean and tidy hotel and restaurant area , a most pleasant stay will definatly stay again asap

The room was front facing above a street which was quite noisy due to groups of people coming passed late at night The shower wasn't very warm Also the car park is very expensive £25

The hotel is on a side street off a large shopping street, but toward the end of that strip of stores. A couple blocks away things become more lively. We were glad for the quiet. The room was absolutely lovely with a spa-like bathroom, comfortable furniture, plentiful linens, tea and coffee makers. The food down at the bar was pricey and a little inconsistent, but generally good to terrific. We never had anything bad there. My one comment would be about the charming old staircase up to the rooms. There is an elevator, so you may never get to experience it. But if you do, you may find it a little rickety with worn treads under the carpet.
