Exactly as pictured; quant, secluded, very cute and perfect for my family of 3. Outdoor patio has fire pit, water features and wind chimes for ambiance. Just a few blocks from the beach and plenty to walk to re: cafes, restaurants, shopping. Host is extremely communicative and kind. Will stay again!

Great vrbo
Surfer vibe vrbo that is close to the beach and restaurants. Board and Brew has delicious sandwiches and is a 5 minute walk. The patio is really nice. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Staying here is so amazing, my husband and I have spent our last two anniversaries here now. The location is very convenient and walking distance to the top restaurants and bars and of course, the beach. Jim is a great host and is very communicative; it is clear he cares about his guests.

Just simply a brilliant place!
Ali and I loved our stay here. The vibe is just eclectic and amazing. We loved the fully stocked kitchen, not fancy, but had everything. The outdoor space is just fantastic, amazing seashore murals, very planted and private, super cool lighting, two hue fountains, fabulous fire pit with wood included! Host is a true heart. Location is perfect. This place is a brilliant find and an absolute bargain!

Absolutely Perfect!
This was an ideal property that matched our hopes perfectly! The owner was beyond helpful, friendly, and it was obvious he wanted to share his love for his hometown with us! It was walking distance from the beach, the boardwalk and restaurants. It was supplied with everything we could have needed, and, we loved the cozy patio area when friends visited. I recently stayed at this lovely 1-bedroom beach property and had an amazing experience. The location is unbeatable—just blocks from the beach, and close to shops and restaurants. The cottage is charmingly decorated with a coastal theme, making it feel like a true getaway. The living area is comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the bedroom has a cozy bed for a great night's sleep. The outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying morning coffee with beach chairs and umbrellas provided for added convenience. The host was attentive and provided clear instructions, making my stay stress-free. Overall, this beach property is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to relax by the sea. Highly recommended!

Blown away with this place
In the few days we stayed at Jim’s place, we couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved it! It’s so close to the beach and a stones throw from the Main Street. The place itself is sooo quaint and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be staying here again upon our next visit to Carlsbad. We also got to meet Jim and chat for a bit which was great.

Location was perfect for walking to restaurants and the beach. The private patio was beautiful! Jim was very helpful. We were in town for a wedding and did not cook in but the kitchen had anything and everything you would need! I highly recommend!

This place is a hideaway paradise. Fully private and secure. Water features, fire pit and an outdoor shower with warm water!! I felt right at home here and was sad to leave. If I ever need a home away from home I would come back here.

Great Anniversary Weekend
We had a favorable experience at this property. It was very clean and cozy. The outside courtyard/patio was large with 2 fountains and a fire pit with lots of wood. Although we did not use the fire pit for our stay, we wood have if we were to stay longer. Just a very short walk to the Beach and good restaurants. We brought our electric bikes and found it very safe for riding. We would go back to this are and stay at this property again. It was a wonderful memorable stay.

Perfect Private and Cozy Spot by the Beach
Lovely little spot minutes from the beach and walking distance to everything in downtown Carlsbad. Space was very private, including a great private patio. Everything was clean and felt very secure, and James was a great host with very open communication. We've decided if we come back to the area we'd definitely seek this spot out again!
