The worst Intercontinental experience.
Check in process was the worst. There were two staff who were not helpful and very rude. (Probably we saw the rudest ones! Because there were nice people at the reception during check out)The amount we paid definitely did not worth to stay there. Although they should have been upgrade us due to my status with Hotels.com, they gave a basic room and disturbed us 4 times in 1 hour with phone calls and staff's door knocking for no reason! This was my worst experiences with Intercontinental Group hotel.

The hotel was very noisy. The pool area was very loud and you could not relax it did not have enough seating for guests. There was no service to the rooms as the phone did not work despite advising front desk. The room needed updating and the coffee facilities were not good. The fridge did not work properly.

A mejorar: ropa de cama , toallas y papel higiénico de las habitaciones. Servilletas de papel del piso 15 (5 estrellas es 5 estrellas, verdad?) Excelente en general! un equipo altamente profesional: Gracias especialmente a Estefanía, Grabriel, Licet de recepción. Yair, Yanier, en fin, todos absolutamente todos encabezados por es Sr. Manfredonio Gerente General. No dudaría en reservar nuevamente en Intercontionental Cartagena.

Excellent service. Warm attentive staff saved us from total disaster when hotel lost air conditioning for two and a half days. Also had to change rooms because bathroom sink leaked, Some lights did not work. TV was very old. Grout dirty. Not what you expect from Intercontinental.

Our family spent six nights at the InterContinental Cartagena de Indias, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which included access to Club InterContinental on the 15th floor—a delightful surprise. The Club offered breakfast, coffee, afternoon drinks, and evening hors d'oeuvres, which were so fresh and delicious that we often enjoyed dinner there. The customer service throughout the hotel was exceptional, the rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and the pool and bar provided a perfect spot for relaxation. Additionally, having direct access to the beach just across the street was fantastic. This was our first time staying at an InterContinental hotel, and it left such a lasting impression that we now plan to stay at InterContinental properties whenever possible. Highly recommended!

Was a great place except for the fact that you can’t have any guests I understand the safety and maybe no guest from 11 PM till 6 AM but you go to meet people and I had friends staying in another hotel that couldn’t come visit
