We were already familiar with the location of Skandalis apartments in the village, approx 20 mins from the airport. The top floor, 2-bed apartment was spotlessly clean, well furnished, comfortable, spacious and quiet. The host lives in the house next door and fixed a broken toilet flush immediately. Brand new bedding, pillows, blankets, loads of storage space in both bedrooms, fresh linens and towels provided every 3 days. The apartment was cleaned twice during our 9 day stay. The only negatives are the lack of cutlery if there are 5 people, the outdoor pool has no handrail and, as a disabled traveller, I struggled to get in and out of the large pool. It would also benefit from a new fridge as we were unable to use the door to store milk etc because the rails to hold the bottles were missing and there was only one shelf. A toaster would also be very useful. A handrail at the step end of the pool would be hugely helpful. Aphrodite (our apartment name) was under the roof of the building and we had lots of nesting birds giving us a wonderful morning chorus each day. We had masses of hot water in the large bathroom with a walk-in shower with waterfall showerhead. It was early in the season (April) so we were the only tourists in the 6 apartments available. Ample parking on site and fantastic location opposite Irene taverna, with supermarket, cafe and pharmacy close by. I would definitely stay here again. A car is needed to get around the area.
