Good stuff: The house is comfortable, with GOOD beds and couches. Kitchen is furnished pretty well and has all the basics anyone would need for a few days of cooking. The house gets cold as soon as the heat stops actively blowing, so make sure you bring warm house clothes and slippers if you’re staying in cooler weather.
Bad stuff: My 67 year old mother got locked in the bathroom twice because the door knob came off. We requested someone come to fix it a couple days before the end of our stay and no one did. The hot water handle on the bathroom sink was broken when we arrived, as well as one of the blinds. Several kitchen implements had been put away dirty (covered with egg) and the drawer in which the kitchen tools are kept was dirty. The dining room table was set and had a vase of roses, and the roses got debris all over the table and settings so that they had to be washed before using. There were no toiletries (or complementary snacks or gift as the listing mentions) and the hand soap in the bathroom was empty when we arrived. There was garbage from the previous occupant left in the shower. There was animal fur on one of the pillows. It is clear whoever cleans the house did not do a thorough job. For $232 in host fees, the state of the place was very disappointing, especially when no one came fix the broken bathroom door knob and we had to use the facilities with an open door for two days. We tried to put the knob back together ourselves but it kept getting stuck.
