We stayed in a standard room which was clean but very dated the bathroom was very sub standard, tiny sink with a dripping tap a shower which was very tired and small. The hotel in the public places was very nice. The area around was ok very close to the shops. Would I stay again probably not.

Rooms was very dated. Bo usb ports,no iron and board and no controlling the heating. The room was to hot and the bed was so uncomfortable. Restaurant was average for breakfast. We booked axspa treatment for the day of leaving andcit was cancelled that morning.

Room charges !!!!

On arrival the receptionist was very polite but I was told that I could not charge drinks or dinner to my room even though I offered to leave my card details. However about an hour later I was called and told that I could so I went back to reception and gave my card details. I had booked dinner for 7pm but went to restaurant at 6.30 to ask it to be moved to 7.30 Drinks an the bar were charged to the room – no problem Going back to the restaurant at 7:45, they had erased my booking off the list ??? Anyway they found a table (Restaurant wasn’t full by any means) The 2 people taking orders and bringing drinks were very efficient but so Impersonal / Transactional, it was if they were reading from a script “Would you like dessert, anything else, enjoy the rest of your evening” I cannot recollect them raising a smile to any customers but did laugh between each other behind the bar area. When I went to ask to put dinner on my room they asked if I had an allowance (I didn’t) so they said I couldn’t so I had to have the same conversation around giving my card details at reception On a plus, the food was excellent & Cameron who served my food was engaging with a smile

I have stayed at this hotel many times, and I feel after this visit, i Will book direct, you can discus type of room , and position, i have booked direct before, much better. hotel is immaculate,clean every where , staff good . room was cold I rang reception , some one came right away to sort faulty radiator. great location

We paid extra for a business double room with kingsize bed, got a small double room which I complained about and it was dated, not like the pics at all. Very disappointed. The spa was nice and in a good location but thats about it.

Needs updating but a nice stay.

The staff were amazing. The room was a bit dated but the bed was comfortable, the settee wasn't. The room was nice and big, the breakfast was alright but the layout could be looked at for the queue. The pool facilities were good but need some missing tiles replacing, sharp when you caught them. Great location for walking into Chester.

More than happy

Really good value for money. Room was small but adequate. Bathroom clean with good shower. Location was ideal with short 5 min walk into Chester centre. Pool and jacuzzi were real bonus for price paid. Service at breakfast was friendly. Selection at breakfast limited but again good value for price paid overall. Bar area really well kept and well kept.
