My family had not had a family vacation for over 8 years. My daughter recently moved to the area and wanted to show off Chicago, so we managed to gather the whole family (of five) and stayed in this VRBO altogether. Says it slept 6, but with three 6 foot+ family members, it slept our five comfortably. The kitchen was great and stocked with all the cookware needs. Dishwasher worked great. Having only one bathroom= okay- we made it work. The area/situation was great. Easy walking distance to the Red line and street parking as they said was good. We had three things we had issues with. One was there was a closet door off its hinge and propped there (not in our way- but we certainly didn't want to be blamed for damage) and a couple of the couch pillows and a bean bag had rips/wear and again, we were concerned about being charged for things we did not do. Being from the south with central heat and air, we didn't know how to operate the cooling system or find the thermostat, so we just slept hot at night and/or opened windows. (Our bad for not contacting the rental facility- but we soon found out that was difficult anyway.) The third thing is the mututally used (with neighbors) clothes dryer wasn't working, so I emailed who I thought was correct (by facility email instructions) was the right person, then was told to email/contact someone else with no email/phone given for same. Just flet like we were getting the run around. So just went to a nice local laundromat.
