We had a fantastic time at Andrea's house! We did have a rough three days to start with due to the bulk of the time being in a power outage (and the solar running out of power), but that is life in the jungle I guess, and totally out of Andrea's hands! The area is lovely; you're a 10 minute drive away from the best food in the area (Ojochal restaurants beat out Uvita and Dominical restaurants every day), a 35 minute drive away from great surfing, and a short drive away to do many of the other activities in the area (beaches, waterfalls, hikes). We spent a ton of time just hanging out in the pool as well. We ended up with a kid with strep throat on our trip, and managed to communicate with the pharmacy down the road via WhatsApp to get a diagnosis and medicine, probably more efficiently than we would have back at home in Canada. The air conditioning and nice lounge areas throughout the home were much appreciated with him being stuck there a good chunk of our trip. The beds were comfortable (firm!), the tap water being drinkable, the tv upstairs in the bedroom and comfy lounge areas outside were all nice aspects that go a long way on vacation. The outdoor shower was maybe my fave part of the trip! We've been to Costa Rica quite a few times now and this was one of our top houses for sure!
