Property was so very inviting and serene! Perfect for a much needed escape from Northern VA. House and property were beautiful and set up to make everything so easy. All we had to do was relax and enjoy! We had lots of fun fishing, crabbing and swimming all right there!

Our vacation this year was positively wonderful!!!! This stunning home and beautiful setting was one of the primary reasons! The home and property were pristine and beautiful! The location of the property is perfect; it is within minutes of stores but once you are at the property you would never know it. Make the turn off of the main road and you are in the 'country' away from any hustle and bustle. The property was lush and green, perfectly manicured and landscaped; the neighboring homes and property's are just as beautiful. Adding to the ambience was a neighboring horse pasture; the area was so serene, beautiful and peaceful! The pool area, gazebo and patio, were exceptional, too! We grilled and ate out by the pool every day. The community of Colonial Beach is quaint and beautiful. Shannon was GREAT!!!

Home away from home
Can I just start with WOW!! Upon arrival, pulling up in the driveway we were greeted by beautiful oyster shells decorated throughout the yard. I've never seen anything like it. Then going into the house, Shannon left me a personalized note with some wonderful chocolate. The house was immaculate and very clean. We all felt like we were at home because it was so cozy and had a home-like atmosphere. Overall it was one if the best vacation homes we've ever seen. Perfect family getaway
We loved everything about our stay at Monroe Creek. The house was extremely clean upon arrival and left nothing to be desired as far as amenities. The pool, air hockey table, and basketball hoop kept the kids busy and everyone enjoyed fishing from the dock. Colonial Beach offered great options for meals and treats, and groceries and bait were very close by as well. We would definitely recommended this rental to families and anyone else looking for a relaxing break.

Relaxing birthday weekend
Some friends and I booked this house for one of our friend’s birthday. The house and host are equally amazing! Shannon was extremely accommodating and very quick to respond to inquiries. The house looks just like the photos. Newly renovated, very clean and nicely stocked. The area has a small town feel with enough stores and restaurants nearby to get anything you may need. We enjoyed the views of the bay while we ate on the deck and relaxed poolside the rest of the day. I cannot say enough great things about our stay. It was a perfect weekend with friends for the birthday girl and the rest of the group. Definitely a 10/10!

Just amazed
Upon arrival we were all amazed at the beauty! And walking inside this place is so comfy and has everything anyone could need. We got our things in and headed to the beautiful and clean pool. This place is immaculate and perfectly placed to things to do, we loved the space and how we needed for nothing in this place! The host has to be one of the best I’ve experienced and very accommodating. The whole family enjoyed the stay. We checked out dockside restaurant on our last night and that was a blast! Little Paradise
From the moment you drive up, you are in love with the property...you see the horses across the street and water view even from the front of the house! When you open the front door, you know you have started your vacation! Beautifully decorated open floor plan gorgeous home! You would think you are steping into a model home! Super cleaned! Perfectly decorated. The kitchen is big, the island is huge, the table is beatiful and you have a great view of the water. Both sitting area and living room are perfect. The master bedroom is beyond perfect! View of the water from your bed, bathroom is spacious. The 2nd master is comftable, the kids room is great. This house has EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED! The game room downstairs is phenomenal! Kids didn't want to leave lol Then you have the nice pool area, confy outside furniture, all with water view. You can also bbq in the nice size gas gril. The water was beautiful! We were lucky to have brought our kayaks! We had a blast. Kids also enjoyed playing basketball! I can not recomend this home enough! Loved it! Hope i can get to return. Oh...did i mentioned you are literally 5minutes from foodlion and McDonalds! Lol. You can't ask for a better location! Tons to do and near a lot of awesome places to go to! The owner is sooo sweet and is quick to answer any question you may have :-)

Lovely place; well maintained and appointed. Very clean and charming neighbors. Would stay again. Only complaint is the electric stove (not induction); controlling temperature is challenging.
