Location is A1 (*conditionally) - It's right downtown but slightly off to the side so the urban noise is muted. *Condition covered in a second.
Host is A1+. Melissa is as responsive and as positive as one can be. She is a "can do" person and her thoughtfulness is relected in a myriad of ways throughout the suite.
Suite itself is a bit rough with semi-finished concrete floors as well as overhead. The loft look might be a little overdone and furnishings (other than the mattress, which was TOP quality and appliances which were also top notch), were sparse and spartan. Its an eclectic mix for an eclectic setting.
* The conditional aspect:
You get a secure reserved parking place as an added perk with this place, which is an appreciable amenity downtown. The problem is that to get from the parking to the room requires a walk to the car to an elevator that takes you to the ground floor to get to the building access point, after which there are various doors and corridors to navigate to get to the second elevator which you then take up to get to the room. It's less trouble if you're backpaking it, but less simple if you have luggage. If Melissa hasn't added a folding wagon to the room's accoutrements by the time you read this (and she might, given that except for furniture, the suite already has everything else you might need) you might want to bring your own (folding wagon).
In total, this place is only 2 small steps shy of being perfect and for us it was memorable and fun.
