Let me say first, my wife and I owned a VRBO and never received one negative review. We also had a cleaning company that cleaned rentals for a rental company that came behind the cleaners to make sure the cleaning was up to their standards. The following are just a few negative examples, ice trays were empty, tea pot had a rusty bottom, kitchen was dark in the counter area (under counter light didn't work). Leaking facet in kitchen, water was rotting wood under sink giving off offensive odor. Rotting wood somewhere outside main bedroom, offensive odor being pulled in by A/C unit. Back door so out of shape, I had to push with my shoulder to get it to close. Bathroom door very tight to close or open, as was the main bedroom door. Dining table had crack, could be a safety issue. Outside courtyard full of debris. Outside table was dirty and needed to be washed to use it. All the windows were full of cobwebs and spiders. The floors were filthy, as evidenced by the dirt on my socks. Shower handle had no screw to keep it attached. I received an email from the property manager telling me that he had received "complaints from the neighbors" that we had too many vehicles and people at the property, which is 3 vehicles and 6 people. Really? We had 3 vehicles for 2 days and 6 people one day. Someone needs math classes, or the property manager is using this as a business practice to "help" guests behave. All that being sad, this property does not meet the VRBO standard we expect.
