I researched high and low before deciding on Casa las Palmas, and I'm so glad I chose it!
The property itself is excellent! Shower was hot and has a great showerhead, linens clean and fluffy, bed super comfortable, TVs great (although I didn't watch much), A/C was super effective, kitchen great and a must have for me. The top deck is gorgeous and comfy, the palapa with table/sink/built in grill was shaded and relaxing, and of course the pool! The pool was wonderful! Big enough to paddle around in a bit, but it also has bench-type seating in it, which is where I often had coffee or dinner! It was great to jump in and cool off after sweating at the ruins or in town, or before heading out for the day!
The neighborhood is so awesome too. Comfortable, safe, and just wonderful to walk around at dusk (it smells lovely too; salty air, delicious food cooking. Dogs here and there, kids playing - including a budding flutist lol!). Sam's/Aurrera right down the street for groceries or anything else you may need. Friendly people everywhere, which is partly why I'm in love with Cozumel.
I traveled solo and felt very secure and welcome. Veronica was so kind and we communicated just fine despite my Spanish being poor (at best). I parked on the street and felt perfectly comfortable doing so, although you can park inside the locked gate.
Jaime communicated with me from booking to departure, and he was ridiculously helpful with all my wacky questions! Very responsive and as friendly as you can get. He's so enthusiastic about his property and everything in Coz!
Just book it! Maybe I'll see you there next year :)
