A. The directions to the place are perfect. Impossible to miss the large, well-lit driveway and garage.
B. The listing doesn’t mention air conditioning (or, more accurately, the complete lack thereof). The basement is about 10 degrees cooler than the main floor.
C. The pontoon boat shown in one of the photos is not accessible to guests.
D. Instructions on how to lock the entrance door from the outside: just press the “UltraLoq” button on the bottom of the device.
E. By all appearances, the place was completely gut-rehabbed (remodeled) in 2013. Everything looks to have a decade of use in 2023.
F. The property manager was very responsive to inquiries, answering within 15 minutes.
G. The place is well-kept, clean. All of the drawers and cabinets are stocked.
H. There is some kind of sump pump that activates once in a while — it can be startling to hear the noise of it in a quiet, empty cottage in the middle of the night!
I. The wraparound deck is nice. Plenty of seating for viewing the lake, enjoying the breeze. There’s also a fire pit, but I didn’t check to see if there’s any firewood. Speaking of fire, the living room fireplace is also off-limits to guests. And the use of fireworks is also prohibited on the property,
