My buddy and I decided on a last minute Christmas getaway to the mountains. The trick being that between us we have 3 German Shepherds. Despite many "dog friendly" listings, most had size limits and all had a 2 dog limit. I messaged half of a dozen hosts, but Lisa was the only one to respond in a timely manner. Not just timely, but affirmatively and helpfully. We were able to bring our 3 dogs. She was always quick to respond to my questions. We booked the stay easily, and she kept in touch. Lots of great information and a super easy check-in process. We got to meet her as she was at the house when we checked in. She was as friendly in person. As promised, we could barely tell someone was staying upstairs. We talked to them on our last morning, and they said they couldn't hear us either. That's important.
One note: while the kitchen is spacious, it's not a full traditional kitchen. The host provides a convection oven and dual-burner hotplate. It worked for our meals, no problem. The kitchen had all the things you might need, including some extra spices and seasonings.
Bring a tether for your dogs -- we did -- because it's not fenced in and the next door neighbor is unnecessarily aggressive and unfriendly. That's not uncommon in the mountains, based on my experience but if I didn't have the tethers with me, our pups wouldn't have been able to enjoy the yard. After scolding us one time when the dogs slipped out while unloading, we never heard or saw the neighbor again.
