Our time in Marbella was great because of the beautiful and different beach in a short distance of the property, the village is small and doesnt have a gas station (there actualy no gas station in a range of 45 min of the premises) the villa looks great but we were disapointed by all the wildlife inside the villa, i think it's to be expected for such a rural area but for our group it was an issue.
We LOVED our stay at posada 37 (its other name). The house is spacious, the swimming pool is legendary and the kitchen is well equipped. It is surrounded by nature, with no neighbours. We were there with ou 2 sons (3y and 6y) and they had a blast! The ride to get up
the mountain is a bit epic at first, but you get use to it (highly recommend a 4x4). Carlos is helpful is really available. Thanks!
The property and manager, are amazing. The house is beautiful, private and offers the perfwct jumping off point to enjoy the surrounding areas. The pool and roodtop deck are definitely amazing. The manager is reaponsive and kind. He even went out of his way to bring my husband some aloe after he suffered a burn. The o ly downside is that the owners are not keeping up on repairs. We had very few exterior lights working, including the pool lights, and the garbage disposal was broken along with some general drainage issues. We have a septic at home and knew to keep solids out of the sink, but it was slow to drain and would backup into the sink when the dishwasher was turned on. The house is also very sparsely stocked as far as towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, etc. Be aware as stores are few and far away. Overall I would absolutely stay here again if the plumbing and electrical issues were fixed.
I stayed for 8 nights at this property on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is located off the beaten track, hidden away on some rough backroads, but was a gem and a perfect paradise to house my family of 5 â 3 adults and 2 kids, aged 13 and 9. The property had everything we were hoping for â a pool, a BBQ, a modern kitchen, WiFi, and Costa Rican wildlife around the property. The closest village - Marbella - has some basic supplies which is a few minute drive away. A variety of beaches are also nearby with sea turtle viewing and surfing, as well as good swimming. Other popular tourist locations in the north and south are also relatively close (Tamarindo and Nosara).
This was a perfect property for our family who wanted a remote get away on the Pacific coast. We flew into Liberia and drove to the property at night. Given its remoteness I would encourage arriving during the day if possible and / or getting directions from the property manager. The initial Google Maps directions were unreliable. The property manager was very helpful and easy to reach through WhatsApp.
