Our family of 6, 4 kids, my wife and I booked this cottage on Bass Lake for a long weekend. We made great memories and enjoyed every second of this private lake. The cottage met all of our needs, with a fully stocked kitchen, cards and games for the kids, sheets, towels, and paper products all waiting on us when we arrived. We utilized all 4 outdoor living spaces. My wife and I enjoyed the peace and stillness of the lake with early morning coffee on the top deck. Breakfast was served on the side patio at the large picnic table. The lower covered deck was a great for an afternoon game out of the sun. We enjoyed dinner on the lower deck with the patio set and shade umbrella. We purchased firewood at a local gas station and enjoyed camp fires every night. The kids enjoyed using the paddle boards and fished non stop off the dock. A floating dock was also utilized when swimming in Bass Lake. We took in two local sites, The Farmer and the Dell. A local and delicious ice cream shoppe and Anderson and the Girls Orchard and Zoo. The Zoo is FREE. Our kids got to see and pet so many different animals, this was perfect on a cooler day at the lake. We utilized the in house washer and dryer, because who wants to wash a mountain of laundry when you get home from vacation? The owner was easy to contact, very responsive, no issues at all. The one downfall of our stay was algae. Bass Lake is shallow and we spent out first day cleaning up the beach and shallow area due to a lot of algae and “muck” at the waters edge. Besides the “muck” and the inconvenience attached to it, the stay was great!
