Les points forts : Personnel et service
Les points faibles : Infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement
The Dnipropetrovsk hotel is a basically unmodernised Soviet era hotel - it's last modernisation or refurbishment was clearly quite a few years ago. It retains classic features like wonderful stained glass pictures in the stairwells and at the end of the corridors. It is in a great location, right on the river front. It is about a fifteen minute walk from the main street and edge of the old town, and nearer a large shopping mall and old market complex that is lively in the day time. The staff were friendly and pleasant. I paid for the cheapest or second cheapest single room and got a small room with a small bathroom that was comfortable enough and had great views over the river and river front. The small cafe on the first floor is like a traditional cafeteria. Old fashioned, not attractive but with a decent choice of Ukrainian food, beer, wine and soft drinks. So unlike in most trendy 'international' style bars or restaurants in Ukraine you can actually buy good Ukrainian products here. (I didn't eat - it was too busy with a children's party the evening that I thought I would. I had a drink there the night before).
