Unfortunately we were overcharged for our stay, and the host refused to refund us the correct amount. Do not stay here!
The communication challenges started right after booking the stay. They contacted me right away saying the dates were actually NOT available and offered to shorten the stay to the actually available dates. They gave me the new total, and I agreed. Unfortunately, I was charged a higher amount than the total, and they refused to refund me the difference despite it being a clear error on their part.
The booking also ended up getting routed from Expedia to Vrbo to Rental Advisor. And the address of the stay was changed on us as well. This was all very confusing.
Furthermore, when we showed up, there was no heat in the house. 47 degrees was way too cold for us. They worked to get the heat on, but it was a cold first night, and we had to suddenly change plans and get out of the house.
Our family absolutely loved this cabin. Small enough we just had to spend time together;) it was sturdy, warm, comfortable and close to the ski resort. Will be coming back for more memories!
Inside the cabin was very cute & clean!
House manager was great in helping us get batteries for the thermostat!
It was confusing to know which building was our cabin as visually our cabin appeared to be a âunkept clutteredâ garage for another house.
A clear house number would be an asset.
With the cabin sleeping 6 people there was zero wash clothes & not enough towels.
4 ticks were found in the bathroom.
More electric outlets would be appreciated in bedroom for cell phones charging
Cabin was a great base camp for our anniversary trip to the Grand Tetons, Jackson, and Idaho. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and well appointed for our needs. The hot tub was a nice addition and the view was spectacular.
Had a great location but seems to be mismanaged. The lawn was only mowed in open areasâŠâŠno trimming around front or back porch. In bedroom downstairs there is no fan and the windows do not open. Since there is no air conditioning it made it miserable to sleep. Also seems to have a bug problem. Coffee pot for coffee maker was missing so we contacted property manager who stated it had been broken by previous guest and was ordered. We were there for 8 days without coffee. In the hot tub only half the jets were working. The sheets had holes in them. All in all the cabin was not a comfortable stay. We would not recommend this place unless some attention was given to it.
The property was beautiful with great views, and I loved the hot tub. I was sent two messages. The first one had an address that was not valid. And unfortunately, that was the one I pulled up. After wandering around and not finding anything, I looked at the other email. Which had the correct address. That time I called Verbo and was waiting for them to contact someone about the property, but never got anyone. Meanwhile, we were able to find the place, but your address is not clear and the little flag on your mailbox covers most of your address, so we wondered just a little bit more before we finally figured it out. The pictures of the place helped. Other than that we had a fabulous stay. If there is an email you would like me to forward that first email to so that you can find out what the problem is with Vrbo, Just let me know
We loved it here. But there were some small issues. First, the address in the listing wasnât the actual address. Location is a huge thing when Iâm selecting a property so this was disappointing. Next, the house wasnât ready when we arrived but we finished making the beds and all was good. In the morning, we couldnât find the coffee maker glass pot so used the large measuring cup. It worked but obviously not well. Tried texting the caretaker and no response. The worst part was the baffle plate or something at top of the wood burner on the roof made this horrendous screeching noise all night long with the wind. It kept us awake all weekend due to storms. Lastly, ortho home defense would help with all the spiders. I killed probably 10 or so. Mainly in the bathroom. I reached out to caretaker and the booking agent and neither cared about my concerns so is what it is. We would come back if these things were addressed.
We had a wonderful, restful stay at the lovely Altamont cabin after chasing around grandchildren in Yellowstone for a week. The place was clean, the neighborhood quiet and serene, and the responsiveness of Leah, the property manager, and Devin, the handyman who addressed a chimney issue promptly â well, we couldnât have asked for better service. Views were magnificent and the spa was absolutely restorative for our aging muscles.
Our family of 6 stayed here over 4 days. Great location to trailheads and into Driggs. House had all the essentials for staying comfortable. Nice little neighborhood. A playground is within walking distance of the house. Great view of the mountains from back porch. Washer and dryer was a huge help after a day of hiking. We would recommend.
