The best place to stay in Dunolly, especially during winter, the place heats up nicely..beds have electric blankets..great value for the 10 nights we stayed..The owners went above and beyond for us..easy to check in..definitely would stay again when in Dunolly next
Nice little 2-bedroom cottage in Dunnoly. Communication with Alicia was super fast and helpful. Place was clean and had everything we needed for our 2-night stay. Would gladly stay again.
Was a great stay and very tranquil, Alicia was very helpful with her communication. very clean inside. unfortunately, the only small setback was, that the backyard wasn't very secure for our dog as she does tend to go walkabouts, but overall we all enjoyed our stay and had a great time and made friends with many of the locals.
This place is clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a short stay in the country. It's off the main road into town with very minimal light traffic, but not very loud. The only slight negative is the heater/aircon is old and a bit loud and the water pressure could do with a bit of extra pressure. Overall, I'd recommend this place for a good short stay.
The property was well presented and off the main rd so it was quiet...plenty of crickets, galahs and cockatoos to be heard. Walking distance to the small town...about 10minutes walk. The only minor complaint was one of the dining chairs had a broken/wobbly leg... but that should be easily fixed. A nice place to stay
The house is clean and comfortable with a large, open-plan living area. Everything is provided and we felt right at home there. The location is quiet, with lots of bird-song in the morning so a cup of tea on the back porch is a great way to start the day.Dunolly is in the middle of the Vic goldfields so take lazy day visiting Maldon, Tarnagulla and/or Bealiba to get a feel of its history. About 100km west you'll find many bits of Silo-art which was very impressive. Thanks Alica for sharing your charming house.
Property was clean. Excellent communication with owner. Would have liked a hand towel, face washers, and hairdryer. Bed comfortable , pillows were a little flat. We used the ones on the spare bed. Overall a good experience and we would stay again.
We have a great time. The owner was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help us. It had everything we needed, linen, a full kitchen, washing machine, electric bbq, and TV. The rooms had plenty of space, with 2 double beds, a single bed and a pull out couch. The owner even kept a blanket, food bowl and water bowl for our doggie. The town of Dunolly was very welcoming. Great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle.
We really enjoyed the open feel of this house, the lovely back verandah, the comfortable and cosy beds (thanks to the electric blankets) and the easy access to Dunolly and the surrounding forest. The property fronts onto the main road into town from Melbourne, but there's little traffic and it didn't bother us at all. Apart from chilling in the house, we enjoyed visiting the local forest including a very old cemetery and other historic sites. Thanks Alicia!
