The cabin location was good, and the heads up on 4x4/awd was great, as it was muddy when i went and a 2 whd would have not made it up the steep hill. The cabin: at face value it gives woodsy cabin vibes. Along with that are some cons
Cons: mousetraps.. my children found them. Glad they knew better not to touch. But a smaller child might have grabbed the one behind the fire place.
Mouse droppings. These were found in the lower shower and at all the the window sills.
Bugs. Elderbugs galore. I lost cound at how many we killed.
The stove that was there, had one burner that was not functional.
A lamp in the bunk bed room was not functional, and was structurally not sound.
One of the bunkbeds was two twin beds with makeshift brackets holding them together, which was a bit nerve wrecking, as some ove them were loose.
Some dishes were not clean to start.
The house seemed to have lots of cracks. Maybe where bugs and mice get in?
Pros. Heating was good. There was plenty of hot water. There was a good coffee pot. Plenty of beds.
The outside was awesome, next to the river. (Cant beat that!)
Replacement of some pans would be cool. We arent chefs by any means, but the pans have seen better days.
Property management: I called them a few times, and they were great.
The were most courteous and informative. They did advise that there was intent on replacing the range/stove.
I, we, cannot say enough about the location. We loved being by the river. Overall, it was a good visit/stay.
