Absolutely charming little cabin for no more than 2 people and perfectly appointed. Beautiful, like something you would see in a travel magazine. Just about everything you need is already there: towels, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, grill, etc. The deck and grounds are well done with chairs and tables, a hammock is outside too. When the sun goes down the solar lights add sparkle to the perimeter of the property. A very nice touch!
What you don't know from the listing is that the Hamblett is in the middle of nowhere. There is literally nothing to do in Charleston which may be the reason you are staying there, but make sure you bring everything with you because once you're there it's a ride to civilization.
Also, Hinton Hill Road quickly turns to dirt and the cabin is up a short driveway that is very easy to overlook, especially as our GPS directed us up the road 200 yards past the entryway. I grabbed my phone to double check the address and found there was zero cell service (Verizon). Uh oh... Fortunately the guys at Awesome Welding were outside and pointed us in the right direction.
The other thing that's interesting is that there are zero window shades or blinds on the windows or doors. Not so eerie when the sun is up, but when the woods are dark you feel very exposed.
Overall a very quiet, very private and very welcoming little spot to get away from it all.
