Friendships can sustain both distance & time but must be nourished to flourish. This truly stunning cabin on the river gave ours sunshine, gentle rains and plenty of space to grow. Many miles between Texas and Michigan separate us, but we regularly get together to laugh, share our ups and downs and tend our friendship. This time, we met up in TN. The cabin was perfect-we had the opportunity to cook in the fabulously outfitted kitchen and share meals together, sit on the screened porch in the cool of the evening and bring each other up to date on our life stories and rest well on some amazingly comfy beds. We explored the river, the grounds around the cabin, Fayetteville and beyond, including a quick daytrip to Huntsville for TopGolf and a visit to Burritt on the Mountain. We went antiquing at some great shops around the Fayetteville square and had a famous slawburger at Honey's. We played horseshoes at the cabin and streamed our favorite movie one night. We relaxed in the tranquility. We watched the Elk river pass by below from the limestone bluff, listened to the breeze in the trees above and enjoyed the sweet sounds of birdsong all day long. We read, slept in (or napped) if we wanted, and had an absolutely wonderful time! Our hosts could not have been nicer! They pay attention to details and got it oh so right with this comfy, cozy cabin.
