Au premier étage d'un bâtiment historique est née Casa Dante, où le rêve de vacances exclusives avec une vue à couper le souffle devient réalité. L'appartement dispose d'un grand salon d'où vous pouvez accéder à la fois à la cuisine et à la terrasse: des meubles précieux, des tapis persans originaux font de cette structure un lieu charmant et intemporel. De la magnifique terrasse, vous atteignez le petit jardin d'hiver bien entretenu: un lieu enchanteur qui rendra votre séjour exclusif.
Le bâtiment où se trouve la Casa Dante, qui tire son nom de la colline ("côte" dans la tradition florentine) du nom de San Giorgio, se trouve juste à Oltrarno, à 30 mètres du Ponte Vecchio et à seulement 10 minutes à pied de la gare Santa Maria Novella. L'histoire de la structure se perd dans le temps, ne conservant que quelques traces indiscutables de son passé: parmi celles-ci, l'inscription en marbre du XVIIIe siècle dans laquelle témoigne l'utilisation de l'édifice comme oratoire de Santa Maria Maddalena.
La structure a également été le protagoniste de films célèbres du cinéma international.
Le quartier de Costa San Giorgio se trouve à Oltrarno, entouré de sites parmi les plus spectaculaires de toute la ville. Ponte Vecchio, le pont symbolique de la ville, était le seul à être épargné à la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale. Il offre une vue charmante sur la rivière et les maisons dans les boutiques typiques donnant sur la rue et l'arrière-salle, composées d'un porte-à-faux ("sporto") directement sur la rivière, parmi les plus célèbres bijoutiers du monde. Les magasins ont été pris des anciennes arcades puis fermés.

Nice location 2 bedroom apartment
The apartment is very well situated near Ponte Vecchio and every boutique you may want to visit. We were hoping to have 3 bedrooms as the description said to discover once we were here that the owner consider a sofa bed in the living room as a bedroom. If you need only 2 bedrooms it’s a good apartment.

- très proche du centre et très belles chambres - en revanche Il n’y a que 2 chambres et non pas 3 comme indiqué dans l’annonce, c’est le salon qui fait office de 3ème chambre avec un clic-clac donc pour 2 couples avec enfants - impossible de faire à manger pour 6 dans une cuisine de 2m2

Location is great, clean and tidy. Tiny kitchen (smallest I've ever seen), shower also very small.Car is impractical but if you're planning on staying local, everything is within walking distance and easy to get to.

A great location but the apartment could use some love
This apartment is very well located and overall charming. Wonderful wine bar down the street and a grocery store 2 minutes walk away The outdoor space was nice to have and the apartment had some nice things like an elevator (though the elevator was too small for a travel stroller so definitely not wheelchair friendly) We were unpleasantly surprised by some aspects. The kitchen is TINY, much smaller than we expected based on the photos - barely a kitchenette. The terrace room had a pane of glass missing which was difficult to navigate with a toddler (it’s a 2 story drop - dangerous), and the kitchen wasn’t well stocked (not enough wine glasses, very dull knives) Some of the furniture was not as nice as in the photos or somewhat broken. The beds were comfortable and during our 17 night stay the linens were changed twice (nice & unexpected!) but the pillows were very lumpy. The listing is incorrect: there is no dryer, and we had to ask repeatedly for a drying rack to dry our clothes on. With the humid weather it took almost two days to dry things. Wouldn’t have been a problem except that the listing said there was a dryer. Other amenities listed, like the high chair and ping pong table, were nowhere to be found. I asked for the high chair and was told I needed to request it in advance, but it was listed as a feature of the apartment so not sure how I could have known that. I’d also sent the host our passports well in advance so she knew we had a 1yo with us. Only 2 bedrooms

You needed to be a Billygoat to get to this location very steep cobblestone Hill about a quarter of a mile uphill. I thought I was going up a ski slope. This was not mentioned at all in the description of the property. Other than that, the third bedroom is actually a pullout couch that was actually located in the living room not a bedroom,that was very uncomfortable. I ended up taking the cushion from the couch and sleeping on the floor with it. Other than that, the property was very nice and the location was very nice.

The location is great. That is the best part. The host attempted to charge each of us 110€ which she did outside of the VRBO app after getting my phone number from What’s AP when I sent wanted pictures of our passports. She reminded us several times before we arrived and needed cash. Other reviews noted this as well. I contacted VRBO who told us not to pay it. The tax in Florence is 5.5€.

This property was magical. Two very large beds, one in each bedroom, one cot and pull out couch in living room. The terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed special meals at the outdoor table. Two spacious bathrooms. There were five in our party and we all really enjoyed ourselves.

Charming Old Apartment in a Good Location
The descriptions for this property claims to have 2 bedrooms and another room (Living Room) with futon and twin bed. That is not accurate. There is a sofa bed, but no twin bed. Everything else is a described. The kitchen is old, but charming, the balcony and sun room provide a nice area to relax. Howere, the doors and floors are loud and squeaky. I liked the location. Close to Ponte Vecchio in Oltarno across the river from the busy part of Florence. Good apartment for 4 or 5. Not sure I would stay here again.

This is a Two Bedroom Apartment
Location was perfect - steps from the Ponte Vecchio and a large variety of restaurants. One drawback was the approximately 50 stairs to climb from the street, or a steep climb to reach the apartment. If you are looking for the 3rd bedroom, there is none. We were there for 4 weeks - children had to sleep in the combination diningroom/livingroom/kitchen, which meant the adults had no where to go when children were in bed. One child slept underneath the tv and other on sofa. She had required an additional $200.00 prior to the stay for miscellaneous fees.

Good apartment in the unbeatable location
My family (the 3 of us) stayed at this apartment for 4 days / 3 nights. The location is unbeatable, walking distance to pretty much every place of interest in Florence center. The apartment has a nice living/dining room, 2 good-sized bedrooms with own private bathrooms (the second bedroom is located on the upper level), a very cozy and airy eat-in veranda and a very small kitchen adjacent to the dining room. We liked everything about our stay except for couple small things that ultimately did not spoil our vacation: - during the very first shower the bath curtain rod in one bathroom fell down because of the wall anchors. I communicated to the host but did not hear back. I admit that for our short stay there was probably nothing that could have been done anyway, but would have been good to at least get the acknowledgement. - I was told to leave the cash on the table for the city tax at check-out (total of 45 euros), but could not find this mentioned anywhere in the listing. I don’t know why this fee can't be included in the listing price. I ended up transferring that money directly to Serena via Paypal. Overall, we had a great time and would stay there again.

Wonderful Weekend
Really enjoyed staying here! The house was wonderful, clean, and in a great location. Loved the design and feel of the inside. It was also super easy to walk to some of the main attractions in Florence. However, there was a bit of a mix up in the booking as we were asked to pay extra fees that were not listed. That said, the host was very accommodating and responsive and we were able to figure everything out.
