Three of us stayed for about 10 days in late January. Although we are Brits we have lived and rented many places in the US.The house itself is in a great location and position. It looks lke the property has been refurbished recently with quality kitchen, bathrooms, closets etc.So far, so good.....But,the house is equipped with very basic and limited furniture, kitchen, dining utensils and linens. We had to buy light bulbs, coat hangers, cutlery and bowls to equip us for the first few days. The host (Michael) did respond by providing a range of basic additions (at our request) to make the stay more acceptable - but even so the accomodation needs more investment to make it comfortable/enjoyable for a relaxing stay. Six people could not stay in the house comforatbly. New sofas only seat four or five people in total ( in some discomfort after a few minutes sitting). The dining table is a small plastic thing with four plastic chairs. There is a 29 table top grill outside. So if you want to cook outside - you are pretty limited. Random photocopied A4 pictures in cheap frames in a few rooms. Its a real pity because with a little more investment (about 10k) this could be a really great place to stay. Our interaction with the host was somewhat surreal - it seems like all he wanted was us to extend our stay so he could charge us more. This is intended to be a fair and constructive commentary - a little investment and a bit more customer focus would make this place great.
