This place was so clean and had anything one could need, especially the kitchen. In the drawers in the cabinet by the couch is a binder with tons of information and a lot of pamphlets for things to do. We didn’t get to do much because the weather didn’t cooperate, but if you into serious hiking, I recommend the Frontenac state park, the bluff trail. Another personal highlight was the National Eagle Center. Within walking distance are two restaurants / bars. Just a short drive away are more upscale restaurants. Locals were super nice and helpful with any information. Our host Anne was so quick to respond and is really helpful. You can tell they really want you to feel at home - and we did. You will hear a train go by in the distance, but honestly, we accustomed quickly to it and upon arrive back home (outside a major city), I wish that was the only thing I heard! Otherwise so quiet and peaceful. The place has an adorable patio with a great view, too. Just bring bug spray, just as you would to any outdoor place in the summer. The decor is super welcoming and the beds were so comfortable too. I highly recommend this place and host.
