Excellent Airport Hotel

An exceptional option if you wish to stay near the airport. The hotel was comfortable; the breakfast buffet was excellent and mechanically intriguing, i.e. a machine that dispenses pads of butter, rather than having small plastic butter containers. Front desk staff were friendly and provided an excellent suggestion for a place to have dinner in Frankfurt. It is about a 15 minute taxi drive into the city. There were 2 minor inconveniences to our stay: first, there was no information on how to operate the thermostat to change the room temperature, and the controls were not intuitive (as it turned out, we didn’t ultimately need to adjust the room temperature); second, there is no bathroom night light option; as a result, if you need to use the bathroom during the night, it is necessary to leave the bathroom light on and close the bathroom door so you don’t light up the sleeping area

The room was quiet and comfortable for my needs. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and a cold beer. Very attentive wait staff. I was able to walk from the hotel to the Gateway Gardens rail station to easily travel downtown for a walking tour in the Altstadt old town area.

The Steigenberger is a strong hotel, with good room options. The breakfast was good and seemed very popular. The gym could be a little bit bigger but it's a nice service. The steam room has always been broken when I visit the property and this year was the same. The sauna area is very nice, it could use a cold plunge.

Having shuttle is already a pretty big thumbs up for me. Staff are prompt and knowledgeable, and being a gold member, I was able to get an upgrade and claim vouchers for welcom drinks. Mainz, a superb staff at front assisted me to make all that work flawlessly. Kudos to him! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. It was great 2 nights stay!
