I didn't realize how bad i needed to get away from my day to day life until i sat in the chair and put my feet up. I even stopped fishing because the chair sucked me in and said Don't move!" Perfect spot! Perfect quiet! Perfect host!

Wonderful!!

Some friends and I stayed here as a midpoint location for the Tyler Azalea Trail, and the Palestine Dogwood train ride. The house was exactly as described and was well and above what we expected. The host was very helpful with questions and info about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location on the lake and near Pine Dunes Golf Course

House was exactly as described! It was clean and smelled wonderful. Lovely being right on the lake. We really enjoyed the holiday decor. House is an easy 15 minutes drive to Pine Dunes Golf course.

Stay Here!

My family stayed at Joel‘s home on Lake Palestine was nothing short of wonderful. The owners were very kind people who went above and beyond to make my family comfortable for a long weekend at their cabin. I appreciate their hospitality because I was there to celebrate the life of my father who had recently passed, and they made sure that we could check in when needed, check out late, and gave recommendations on everything I asked about. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place on the lake. The home is absolutely darling inside, it’s very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. I can’t forget to mention the dock where we spent a lot of our time watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets. If you’re looking for a place to stay on Lake Palestine, this is it! I almost forgot to mention that we had left some stuff at the cabin and Joel was kind enough to send it to us all the way back in California. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and your hospitality!

Girl's Weekend

The house was perfect for our party of three. We had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cookware, etc. Each bedroom had a box fan (which I needed because Walmart was out of stock). We were close to a grocery and liquor store. Also, much closer to Tyler than we realized so went into town to explore. Took advantage of being lake front and did some fishing. We are already talking about this place for our next girl's trip!

The Deck at the Lake House

My niece and I very much enjoyed the early morning coffee on the deck. We watched the migrating geese flying low to the water. The home was very clean and decor was nice and bedrooms were spacious.

Quiet get away for some family time

Visiting to ride the Texas State Railroad in Palestine and wanted a family friendly option close to Tyler and on the water. The house has everything you need, loved fishing from the dock and making s’mores in the fire pit.

Great spot for a weekend getaway

This house is exactly as described! Very clean, well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We spent a few days during spring break and were very happy we found this place. The kids enjoyed fishing and loved the fire ring and horse shoe in the back yard. It was great to have a private dock just steps away from the house. Lake Palestine resort is within walking distance, so if you need extra bait, you don't even have to get in your car.

Great stay at Lake Palestine

I rented this property with 3 friends for a club tournament at Lake Palestine. It was exactly as described. Very clean, and well provisioned. It has the perfect amount of parking for 2 trucks with trailers & boats still hooked up. It's also about 2 minutes away from the boat launch at Lake Palestine Resort. I would gladly stay here again. Weekend getaway

We are so happy we booked this property!! It was just as described and even better! The time spent inside was spent preparing all of our meals-all we brought was the food-the kitchen is well stocked with dish ware,utensils,etc. Beds were super comfy, the shower head was wonderful and the house was immaculate. Absolutely loved the unexpected Christmas decor â€ïžđŸ’š We spent most of our time out on the deck and around the fire pit. The weather wasn’t the best but just to relax outside with our friends was so enjoyable. Being Veterans we also visited the American Freedom Museum in nearby Bullard, TX and highly recommend it. Thank you Joel and Mikel for opening your lovely home to us.

Everything about this property is pleasant and is a great place to stay. It was professionally cleaned and very spacious. The lake and dock were very and the fan on the back deck was a great touch! Joel is very helpful and left a binder with coupons, hotspots and helpful instructions with the house. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay!

Great getaway for older teens and parents!

This was a favorite stay from the start! My husband and I took our 19 and 21 year old kids for the weekend before they left again for college. We kayaked, karaoked at the marina, listened to a live band there another night, and played board games. It was just what we needed before we went separate ways. We hope to return, sooner rather than later. Thanks, Joel, for an outstanding location and place to call our own, if only for a few days. Great memories were made here and you were a fantastic host! Perfect lake getaway

This property was truly home away from home. It was very comfortable, from the hammock on the deck to the beds. The kitchen was very well equipped to prepare any meal along with plenty of games for family fun. The sunsets from the pier were priceless. It was hot, so the huge fan on the deck was a wonderful touch. The resort right around the corner was a great "beach" getaway for the kids. I can't say enough about this property...they thought of everything! There's a Dollar General right up the road for any forgotten incidentals. Book it and enjoy!

Relaxing weekend

Early mornings on the deck watching baby birds learn to fly with the lake in the distance was perfect. The owner thought of everything, comfy outdoor seating and a large fan to keep a nice breeze and bugs at bay. Bring bug spray and benadryl cream if you're prone to bites. The house was spotless with everything one needs for a great stay. We cooked all weekend and the pots, pans, knives, and cookware were all there. Just had to bring the food and seasoning. A great, relaxing weekend with family.

Excellent Vacation Home

Our family had a fantastic Spring Break in this wonderful Lake front home. The setting is very peaceful and the house is spacious and decorated nicely. Plenty of things to do at the house. Water front view is perfect for watching sunsets. S’mores by the fire pit were a hit with our kids. Fishing from the pier was a win. We will most definitely be staying again! Owners communicated they are available any time. We had no issues and no need but they made sure we knew they were if needed. Great experience !!
