This is a great place to stay. The cabins are very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom however is in need of an update. The location is stunning with beaches and hiking in the door step. Perhaps the best compliment is the staff. Without exception they were all extremely friendly and helpful.

Bring nighttime entertainment- no tv

Loved the lodge. Breakfast was amazing however was very slow, asked for lactose free milk in coffee and was given full cream, when asked about it they got one from the table next us, was sick all day. Tv reception was not working during the night and some of the day, they were blaming weather, however weather was perfect . However we will return.

Beautiful resort! Loved our cabin. Large open, airy, views of the water! Kitchennet, sofa and TV. Balcony with chairs and table. It was perfect! Loved it! Dinner was awesome. Great staff. Even better views from the main dinning room and the large deck off off lobby! I would love to go back again!

Close to several trailheads and Honeymoon Bay. Accommodation was clean, well appointed. Each lodge had it's own parking spot. Dining options on property were tasty with beautiful views of the bay.

Location is awesome. Very easy access to honeymoon bay. Hiking in the national park is fantastic. The whole area was very well developed for tourists. We waited 40 mins for dinner at the bistro and that wasn't expected. Overall it was great experience.

A fabulous place to spend a few days while we explored Freycinet and the surround coastline. The staff were exceptional in helping us arrange activities, providing advice and insights for hikes and trails. Our only regret is not spending more time here.

Stayed here one night for a wedding. The resort was a bit tired and seeing as we paid $1000 for the night for a family cabin, we were disappointed that we had zero veiw from our balcony and that the cabins themselves were in need of an update. Having said that, the bed was super comfortable, the cabins were quiet and the staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Family Cabins - Terrible value for your money!!

The Family Cabins at Freycinet Lodge are EXTREMELY dated and in desperate need of a total, floor to ceiling, refresh. My family stayed At Freycinet Lodge recently and while the main building which comprises the lobby area and Bay Restaurant and bar is beautifully situated above the water, the family cabins are the worst value for money of the hundreds of hotel I have stayed in over the last 30 or so years. After checking in and dropping our bags in our room I was so gobsmacked at the poor quality that I returned to the reception and asked to be moved, stating how underwhelmed I was. Unfortunately there were no other options - I was advised the only renovated rooms are for couples and they were currently going for between "$1500 and $2000 a night". About double what we paid for our cabin stuck in time and stuck in the middle of the bush, well back from the ocean. The family cabins are very cramped - the barely fitting sofa partially blocked the entrance to the bedroom, extremely dated - curtains seemingly from the 80's, everything creeks, the ceiling fan made a clicking sound and could not be used, a tiny kitchen with an inaccessible frosted over freezer, and that "view" of the large native bush growing right at the edge of the patio...not exactly what we had in mind for the $$$ charged for those rooms. Appalling value for money.

Remote Setting Is Both A Positive and a Negative.

The remote location is both a positive and a negative. Nestled in the Frecyinet National Park, the Lodge is beautifully set overlooking the water, and there is a sandy beach just a short walk away. You can also access the boat excursion to Wineglass Bay right from their dock, and can also walk to the primary park trailhead. If you stay here you'll need to most of your dining at the lodge so choices are limited. The kitchen was slow all days were were there and our orders got messed up more than once. Still, the food was very good. Finally, the cabins are old with dated furniture. They are a bit tired, but still OK. It was very quiet and serene, which was nice. It would be best to have a car at this place.
