Unfortunately, the first night of our trip began with arriving at the destination and not having our entry code. I searched all email communications, text communications, and finally called the 1-800 to get the information. Initially, the staff was not able to help me. I downloaded the Vacasa app where I was told the info would be - even though I made my reservation on VRBO - and checked the VRBO app. None of these areas had the entry code. After 30 minutes sitting in the driveway, someone finally reached out on the phone with the code. Sadly, no effort was made to reimburse us for the time and frustration.
The remainder of our week was pleasant. We cooked many of our meals in the home and it had adequate dishes and equipment to do so - the gas grill was great.
The home is older and has a/c window units to keep the bedroom areas cool as well as fans throughout and we were comfortable. The outlets are somewhat wonky where they've tried to modernize them and so our plugged in items wouldn't always stay in the outlet.
The Pacman game unit was a hit for our family ... just a nice, classic to return to in our down times. The table was great for board games. There is a Roku TV that we utilized for family movies and shows.
The house is not far from many beaches and the Hattaras Lighthouse. There is a pool in the next town up that the rental has access to ... it is at the Vacasa office and so you don't need any sort of HOA pass - but it was freezing!
All in all, good.
