Nice Bungalow
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The rental company was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions right away! It had plenty of room for everyone and was stocked as described. The property is located just a short a short drive to see all of the island! The property has a great welcome packet that tells you what to pack, along with property info, and we found that helpful! The property was as described. Clean, a few bugs visited on our stay, but they warn you of that ahead of time when visiting Texas. The property layout was a bit odd, as there was no shared bathroom, and bathrooms are only accessible by going into someone else’s bedroom. We are all family so it was fine, but I imagine it could be awkward if traveling with a large group. We had a great time exploring all of the city, and we’re thankful we could come back to relax at this property. The hosts were great!

Only had 3 one ounce shampoos and lotions for 11 people and they originally said that’s it but ended up bringing more so that was helpful. Also let us check in early as we had my wheelchair bound father with us. Eric and a lady were very nice,

2nd stay was even nicer.
2 night stay after cruise. We'd planned to spend one night after our cruise, but extended for a second night. The place is very clean, comfortable and roomy. Our family had a wonderful time together and enjoyed the extra night playing games and having fun. The owner was very understanding when I notified them that I had a little mishap with a kitchen towel and the stove. I offered to replace it or pay

1 night stay, very comfortable and clean
My family took a cruise out of Galveston. 6 adults from different parts of the country met up here the night before. It was our first time meeting my niece's boyfriend so we were happy to have the guesthouse to let tgem have some privacy and allow her bf to have some downtime away from the family if he needed it. The place was well-equipped with comfortable furniture and bedding. There was more than enough room for all of us and plenty of parking for our 2 cars. We enjoyed our stay and stayed there again after our cruise.

It's ok
The property is close to the cruise ports and has a lot of beds to accommodate a lot of guests. We were really disappointed that when we arrived we found 6-8 roaches in different parts of home. We also found that it wasn't cleaned very well. We found hair in one of the showers. I would recommend that someone treat the home for roaches since we continued to see them. It was hard to sleep at night knowing they were there :(

st bedroom: 1: ants in bathroom 2:only 1/2 of toilet paper holder 3: broken towel rack 4:vent fan broken 5: shower light out 6: smoke detector missing 2nd bedroom: 1: no toilet paper holder Kitchen: 1: very, very rickety bar stools 2: nothing to light grill Living room: 1: first Floor lamp bulb doesn’t fit fixture 2: second floor lamp has bulb burned out Kitchen: 1: knob missing from pantry door 2: whatever was hanging over stove is gone….but brackets are there, ugly but don’t care GOING FROM KITCHEN TO BACK 2 BEDROOMS: 1: since there is no light there that step plate is a trip hazard. Paint it with glow in the dark paint or something please. Second bathroom: 1: missing toilet paper holder Third bedroom: 1: light has a short and flickers off and on NO OUTSIDE LIGHTS IN BACK IN BACKYARD. There appears to be motion detector lights above pool but it doesn’t work. Guest house: 1: solar party light solar panel is just hanging and needs to be repaired. 2: toilet needs new flapper, runs about every 7 minutes. 3: needs a toilet paper holder 4: shower needs a high pressure head. 5: WiFi was bad, needs an extender. 6: refrigerator door seal needs replies, it’s hanging loose. Overall we enjoyed the house, these are just some maintenance issues that need addressed. The decor is really cute. Both houses were cleaned well. Parking was great. Supplies and utensils were plentiful.

Perfect spot for families of all sizes and ages.
This property was fantastic! It was just around the corner from Moody Gardens for a cheer event and just around the corner from the beach. Lots of room for hosting a large family with privacy for sleeping arrangements. Host was easy to connect with. Clean and well stocked with exactly what we needed. We hope to return again some time. Thank you!

We had a good stay in a good area and walking distance to the seawall and good exercise walk to Pleasure Pier. Having clean pool to cool off is a bonus! Definitely look forward to stay and play again. Thanks!

Stay was quiet. Fire pit not usable. I had permission to pull plants in order to use it but I’m not an employee or the host. Pool also was an issue. Not full when it did fill with hose leak was discovered. Host was responsive and polite on the issues.

Short term stay before cruise
The accommodations were comfy for our group of 13. Great place to stay before leaving for a cruise. The only complaint is that both restrooms in the main house are located in the bedrooms. There is no common restroom so everyone has to leave their bedroom door open for access to the restrooms. Not a big issue. Plenty of parking which is great for a large group.

Comfortable, spacious home
The home felt great, with plenty of space for everyone. I could move around the kitchen with ease. Salt, pepper, and lots of kitchen utensils and containers were provided. I like how the dining room, living room, and kitchen are all open to each other. The bathrooms had soap, lotion, conditioning shampoo, and toilet paper. The pool seems to be about 4 feet deep the whole way, and we had fun swimming and just hanging out on the deck. There’s a nice outdoor shower to clean off after a beach visit. We did have an issue with the dryer not spinning that wasn’t resolved, but it was fine hanging items on the deck to dry in the sun. I swept the floor daily because the tile just picks up sand and dirt, but that’s to be expected. Overall, I would recommend this home. Though we just had our immediate family, you can fit a lot of people in here.

Roaches, broken or dirty equipment, water leaks, terrible customer service
Upon arrival the outside of the home did not reflect advertised pictures of home, the pool was dirty with leaves, dirt, and algae and the television in the guest house had a busted screen. We tried to do our laundry on the first evening and realized the dryer didn’t work, so we spent the entire week having to lay our clothes out around the house to dry. On the second morning of waking up, one of the bedrooms had a large water pocket in the ceiling and water leaking through the window.. we notified management of the dryer and water leak immediately, they did nothing. The water pocket busted open mid morning and continued to leak the entire week making that bedroom unusable. We moved the bed and furniture out of the way to prevent it being ruined. We continued to reach out to management throughout the week to get these issues fixed and they would not respond. Definitely a 0/10 for the 8 of us. We do not recommend this place or beach box rentals.

No Help from owner -Hurricane Cancellation
We canceled our trip due to what was predicted from Hurricane Beryl. Just hours after we canceled, the Mayor of Galveston announced for voluntary evacuation. Flooding of the island was predicted and warnings were throughout area. We were not willing to risk three families safety. Results of development devastation included power outages throughout 70% of the island. Russell Griffin’s response is that we follow cancellation policy (30 day notice). We are now trying to work directly through VRBO to possibly get a reasonable refund. Our VRBO experience in Branson Missouri was amazing for a last minute detour of our trip! The kids enjoyed the sunny, sandy beach at Table Rock Lake! To be continued…

Convenient location between Beach & Schlitterbahn!
My husband and I travelled with our adults kids and grandkids. This property was perfect for us with space to hang out and bedrooms for all. Even better, we were in close proximity to the beach and restaurants. Great communication from Russell made for easy in and out. No hassles, just a relaxing time!

We stayed here with two other families for the June 2024 Beach Blitz Soccer Tournament. The house was bigger than expected, clean, and had everything we needed. The pool was great for the boys after their games and the host was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely book this place again!
