Family Friendly Fun
My family stayed here the night before we departed on a cruise. There were eight of us ranging from four years old to 70. It was nice and open with great size allowing our family to enjoy each other, but not be on top of each other. It made me wish that my vacation was at the beach in this home for the whole week rather than leaving for a cruise. I can assure you that it is on our list to come back to for any cruise that we depart from Galveston, as well as future vacations on the island as well.

The property was in a good location. Communication with host was great. The furniture was made cheap and I worried my 150 13 year old boy was going to break the bed just getting in normal. This seems to be the consensus on several VRBOs though. The property could have been a little cleaner but might be due to being in a beach town with salty air. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

Hello! The home was easy to find, clean and had everything we needed for overnight lodging for our cruise vacation. Our only real complaint was that when we opened the front door when arriving there was a strong musty odor like the house had been closed up for a while. After airring things out it was better.

Christmas getaway
We had a very fun and busy vacation and this bungalow was perfectly located for what we had planned. It was also perfect for having our two dogs. The pool looked great and would have been perfect if we had gone in warmer weather.

We enjoyed the house. It's in a good location, quick to reach any of the main attractions in Galveston. We cooked in and found the kitchen easy to use and enjoyable to spend time together both there and the adjoining living room. Would recommend!

More negatives than positives
We had a family of 10 staying at this property before going on a cruise. This property definitely had more negatives than positives, which I will describe in detail below. Negatives: TV in bedroom doesn't work. Upon powering it on, the screen looks distorted, as if the TV was physically damaged. The hot water did not work until the last day. Maintenance repaired it, but we had to go without hot water for a couple of days. Two of the four burners on the stove did not work and the two that worked did not get very hot. It took forever to be able to cook a meal. The clothes washer did not work. It powers on and acts like it's going to do something but then does absolutely nothing. We attempted several different types of settings and it had the same result. We did not discover this until the last night around 8pm when we tried to do laundry. We were boarding a cruise ship that next morning and we had a lot of dirty laundry. As a result, we were forced to locate a 24 hour laundromat (located in a sketchy side of town), paying $50 bucks to do our laundry. There is only ONE towel hook in the entire property. No where to to hang towels, bathing suits, etc. NO rugs to walk on from the pool outside. We had to use towels as rugs, which took away from the limited towels they provide for bathing/showering. As a result, I had to go buy my own towels from Walmart. Positives: Plenty of room for the 10 of us. More than enough beds. Beds were comfy. The pool and deck was great.

Do not book this property or any with Beachbox
We booked this home for a baseball tournament. We had 13 adults and kids. The checkin was fine but after entering the house it just went down from there. Front screen door was broken, door knob on the back door pulled right out and came apart. Bunk beds were cheap and bottom bed was on the floor. Back rooms were hot and didn’t cool well at all. Pool was leaking water and making loud gurgling sounds. Parking is terrible. One of the bathrooms was a laundry room they rigged into a bathroom and you could hardly move in it. Back patio and deck was nice but no fan or lights and sting lights were hung where you couldn’t plug them in so we had to rearrange them. There were ants, old coffee grounds in the pot, a leach on the bathroom rug and a dead moth in the sheets of one of the beds. We called and text all of this to Beachbox and they gave us the runaround for two days telling us to send pictures and asked the same questions over and over like I was talking to different people every time. I was so embarrassed that I booked this place and that they would not even come fix the pool or backdoor. It was a terrible experience and I will never book with this company again. This place is old, it needs updates and when something isn’t working the rental company has to reply and fix the issues but they do not. This is the only bad review I have ever left. But it had to be done. Renters beware!!!

Early spring break
Great location in a quiet area. Has all the things you need. Toddler friendly no stairs inside. Beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. The little cowboy pool is great. Very good with communication.
