A little rundown…touch ups needed, faucet at sink missing a part, forks bent, plastic mattress covers made it feel like we were sleeping on trash bags with a sheet over them.

We have stayed at Pointe West a number of times. All good experiences. Love the location and the really nice units that we have rented. This is the first time we have been disappointed. First problem was with the lock. We couldn't get in because the door lock was not working properly. Inside, the unit lacked any warmth. Decor was bland and dated. Furniture was shabby, dirty and poor quality. The kitchen contained minimum with dishes and glassware. No mixing bowls. No cutting boards. Hardly enough for a week's stay. Linens were ok. Not wonderful. Again, a minimum amount of effort for a rental. Beds were comfortable and well made. There was no welcome book or list of instructions for operating the television, thermostat or appliances. Appliances were marginal. Icemaker didn't work. Oven was "iffy" with heat. We had to figure all out on our own, which we did. The location of the unit is what was great. Nice view of the gulf. Quiet and peaceful. There are several other units for rent at Pointe West that are same price category but better appointed, warmer and have better kitchens. We would not recommend this place for rent unless the owners did something about the decor, appliances and ovewrall appearance of the unit.

Clean and convenient
The property itself was very well kept and clean. There was plenty of natural light, but you could also make it dark enough to not be disturbed by it if you need to sleep. 9/10 on the home itself because there were no batteries in some of the remotes, the pillows were a bit old (so BYOP), and the overhead fan in the master was not working. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely book again. My only complaint was that the clubhouse restaurant states that it closes at 9, but they actually begin to close the kitchen at 8:30pm , so plan accordingly, because most restaurants in the area close at 9 pm. Besides that,The food and drinks were very good and the staff was very friendly.

Great beach access, but the condo itself needs some work
I wanted to love this place, but the condo really needs some improvements before I would recommend it to anyone else. The pros: great beach views, easy access to the beach, beach towels provided. The cons: The place really needs a deep-cleaning (including windows). The kitchen was grimy and I kept finding sticky spots on the table, fridge handles, and stove. Not very appealing for preparing food. There was also a red solo cup FULL of cigarette & cigar butts on the patio table upon arrival! I did let management know about these issues and they were responsive, but only time will tell if the condo is cleaned more thoroughly in the future. Other than that, too many things are broken or in need of replacement. Almost all of the blinds are broken in some way, the kitchen faucet is missing a part, the ice maker doesn't work (& there are only two ice trays, so bring your own ice!), kitchen utensils are beat up, and we had to turn the living room ceiling fan off because it seemed like it was about to fly out of the ceiling! Additionally, you simply need to bring too many things from home (a comfortable pillow, a cutting board, coffee filters, extra dishwasher detergent pods, etc.) for this place to be convenient. Sidenote: Bring bug spray. Mosquitoes are AWFUL! I will probably stick with a Sand 'n Sea Property from now on. They have always been well-stocked and spotless. I guess some guests have enjoyed this condo, but sadly we did not.

Nice beach and view!
Condo was nice, could have been a little cleaner. View on balcony was amazing. Super quiet when we were there. Could have had more kitchen supplies for cooking. So bring a cutting board, none there. The batteries in the tv remote were dead so had to use the ones in the bedroom. Small inconvenience but over all nice condo.

Needs TLC & Owner needs to be contacted
The windows are glued and permanently closed shut. We were unable to open the windows which is a fire hazard. Our air conditioner broke the last night. We had no airflow. Unable to open windows. We couldn’t open the back doors due to the abundance of mesquitos. Management refunded one night very quickly but that doesn’t change anything with no airflow. The floors were so dirty I wore socks the entire time to keep my feet from getting black. The oven is rusted. The cabinets are beat up. Paint on the ceiling is unevenly spread. The windows are so dirty it’s hard to look outside. The cookware is soooo old and used. Cookware respectfully to human life needs to be replaced. There are no essentials in this condo such as cooking spray, salt or pepper. No coffee. No water. No snacks. No lotion. The toilet paper at Whataburger is nicer than what is provided in this condo. There were no booklets on where or how to use the facilities at this place. We walked the entire property looking for the facilities. When we found them the people working there were a bit clueless about us staying there but eventually found us. We bought the wrist bands and did not use them. We contacted management about the TV not working in the master bedroom and no one ever showed up to remedy it. There is a rattlesnake habitat so be careful and watch for snakes. This was a very unusual experience. We took photos of how nice and clean we left the condo upon checkout. We enjoyed the sunrise.

50th Anniversary Celebration
Great property in a great location if you are looking for beach time. It is a 20 minute drive to the hustle and bustle of downtown Galveston We were there with multiple family members all staying in this same resort. The amenities are very nice. The owner helped me to find flower shops so that I could surprise the anniversary couple. I very much appreciated the help as I had never been to Galveston. The property was clean, well appointed and had a gorgeous view!

Place is ok, has exactly the minimum. Ice Maker didn't work, no coffee or filters, and while has all the cooking stuff, no salt a pepper. That said, clean and in good shape.

Family trip
The property was great. It was clean and comfortable and I loved the location. I also loved sitting on the balcony and being able to see and hear the ocean. We had some trouble with check in because the codes sent to us for the lock were wrong. After waiting on hold for a bit we were able to get that sorted out. However, the bigger problem for us was that they turned the water off for the whole building most of the day in the middle of our trip and we weren't notified until we were on our way there. We had to change some of our plans, which causes stress/meltdowns for a couple of our children with special needs. It would have been really helpful to know ahead of time.

The property had a great view of the ocean and easy access to the beach and pool. The on hand kitchen and linen supplies were very minimal as stated in previous reviews. Providing 2 meals worth of silverware would be appreciated so we did not have to constantly do dishes. We also did not have enough pillows and the ice maker still does not work. However, the outside area was great. We spent lots of time out there.

Good Pointe West Condo
This condo was clean upon arrival, and we loved the view. The furniture on the balcony was comfortable and nice as well. We like staying at Pointe West; the hot tub is always heated on the beach side. The lazy river is always heated on the bay side. Gives you a couple of fun options. The beach is so clean and hardly anyone on beach. Just so relaxing. The check-in process was terrible. I inquired a month ahead of time of exact check-in process. Was given a code. This code did not work at check-in. It was difficult to get in touch with the property manager and took us about 45 minutes to get in the door. This has happened to us with the same property manager before and is unacceptable. Also, the property could use many basics (coffee filters, basic coffee, large bowl for preparing food, etc.) so just needs cabinet/inventory upgrade. It's a perfectly nice condo, if the both of these things are attended to. Thank you!

Wonderful property
We’ve stayed at several properties at Point West. This was a beautiful property, comfortable and great decor. Beds were great. A few issues with the door code, but property management (Vasca) were helpful and got it sorted. Beautiful gulf views from balcony. Short walk to the beach, and in walking distance to Beach Club. Quiet and peaceful. Would recommend for a young family or friends/couples. We had a relaxing time.

Stay was very nice would do it again
The only thing I would change is the check in process. The access code didn't work and it was freezing. They gave us the same instructions and two different codes a few times with no success before giving us the code to the lock box. I was not happy. Additionally because of the freeze the water was shut off for a day and over night but this was not communicated to us. It was also not communicated when it was resolved. Other than these two reasons we were otherwise happy. I recommend a bigger spatula for bigger groups but that's a personal preference because there was 5 of us.

A nice little place with pleasant decor and an ocean view. The bed was comfortable, and the covered porch was great. The kitchen had all the pans, plates, cups & utensils needed. Our stay even had dish soap, a roll of paper towels, salt & pepper. It's best if you can plan to purchase all the food & supplies on your way in, because it is a way to the store. Overall a good trip.

Nice with a few issues
This is a really nice condo and was perfect for our 4 person family. We did however have a few problems along the way. The dryer does not heat up and so we had to dry everything outside. Also the ice maker does not work. We read old reviews complaining and assumed that it would be fixed by now so that was frustrating. Also the back door sticks terribly making it difficult to go in and out. Lastly the communication could have been better. I really had to research online to figure out what exactly to bring and also thru Point West beach club to figure our how to get our prepaid wristbands as the instruction packet comes with them and not in the condo upon arrival.
