The house was great. The host has It feeling welcoming when we arrived. We got into town after 5:00 and the town had gone to sleep. Just know that if you need dinner before you arrive!
This was my third stay at this property and I will keep coming back. The house is so close to shops and cafes and only a short drive to Richardson Grove where the rest of my family likes to camp.
This property is super cute. Its a small house, but has everything you could need during a stay. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The back yard is adorable. This was a great stop over on our way to the redwoods. Great history of the house and a gracious host.
The little in town cottage was lovingly and the thoughtfully cared for. There were many welcoming touches through out. We enjoyed having coffee in the very private garden in the morning.
Such a lovely place absolutely perfect , and it feels so cozy and like home , what a spectacular decorating job to make it so nice , all other locations should take a note from these guys
Nice two bedroom one bath rustic home close to the center of town. We traveled here for a wedding and this cottage worked perfectly. It is an old home with much character.
We just did a quick overnight. The house was quaint and met our needs for the night. The listing indicated a garage and there was only street parking. Other than that, it fit what the listing indicated.
Sleeps 3-5 easily if you share the main beds. Pellet stove very easy to operate and can heat the entire place. Plenty of pillows for the beds and lots of throw pillows too. Quiet location, diner around the corner. Coffee maker, hot water kettle, stove and microwave. Powerful shower if you like that sort of thing. Nice backyard courtyard to hang out in if the weather is nice. Washer and dryer are a nice plus as well. Iâd definitely stay here again.
Truly a quaint cottage - but spacious enough for two couples. Well appointed - everything you need is there. The beds were comfortable, it was very clean and the garden is fascinating with it's variety of plants. It is an interesting little place!
A wonderful cottage at the gateway to the redwoods
This sweet cottage was just what we were looking for on a weekend trip to visit the Avenue of the Giants. Adorable vintage feel (including a claw foot tub!), comfy beds and an enclosed garden space. Great communication with property manager, wonderful hospitality and a cheerful and welcoming vibe. Would stay again!
Very cute property, love the location near the great coop and down from the bakery. Host was very welcoming. Also loved the shower and the pellet stove!
Small, charming cottage with a lovely garden area. If you have mobility issues, getting into and out of the (wonderful) old claw foot tub, necessary for bath or shower, can be a challenge, but otherwise comfortable. Great host responsiveness.
First impression wasnât great because there were quite a few sketchy people hanging around and many of the nearby properties are run down. It was pretty warm when we arrived but once we found the window ac in the first bedroom, that helped. Once we sat in the back garden and enjoyed the peace and a glass of wine we started to feel more safe and comfortable.
I would like to recommend a hair dryer - if it was there I never found it. Wine glasses would be a nice addition too :). All in all we really enjoyed our time at Maryâs Cottage and found it very close to the Redwoods which was our reason for coming.
Thank you!
This property was very private and quaint. It was my husbands first time to see the Giant Redwoods. This property is centrally located to see the Giant Redwoods, The Lost Coast, and even to experience the Skunk Train in Fort Bragg!
We loved it!!
Maryâs place is clean and comfortable. Very rustic but to be fair we spent very little time in Garberville. We attended a family reunion at Humboldt State Park about 15 min away. It was super easy to check in with keyless lock.
