The cabin was very nice and was clean. The view is definitely as stated- awesome. Our entire family loved the amenities there- hot tub, pool table, etc. The only real downsides were these:
1. The bed in the master bedroom was not very supportive at all. It wasn't something I escalated to the owner, as it wasn't necessarily clearly broken, but just seemed to sag a lot. (I'm not a big guy either).
2. I think the ad under-stresses the challenge of driveway and roads leading to the cabin, specifically for people driving vehicles that are slightly larger/longer (we had a minivan). Although the ad does state that it is steep (which for steepness alone, I was ok with) it is also was extremely tight, and includes a 180 degree switchback, half way up it (which was a bit scary while turning). Also backing in and out of the top of the driveway directly in front of the cabin was kind of a pain. There was a small cutout in the hill do this, but it was not at all easy or convenient to do every time you came and went. If you have a medium or short length car, it is no problem and you shouldn't be worried in summer (maybe a little scary for some)... but if you have a full size pickup/SUV or a minivan, I'd probably suggest a different cabin.
3. While the cabin is only 2 miles out of Gatlinburg as stated in the ad, it typically took 10 mins in good traffic to get there on terribly tight, blind curve roads, that had no edge to prevent a tire from going off and dropping the car onto the pavement (I wasn't worried so much about rolling down the hill cuz the trees were there, but the pavement edges have a 1ft to 1.5ft straight drop on each side). In most traffic during the day it took 15 - 20 mins to or from Gatlinburg... and about the same to get to two of the pools (not all pools were open each day). Anyways between the traffic and the roads/driveway, it prevented us from really getting into Gatlinburg as much as we likely would have.
Having said that, we did really enjoy it a lot, and our kids absolutely loved it.
