I'm sorry to give such a lovely house the one-star-rating. The house is clean, well-stocked, bright, and very near the ocean. However the management was so terrible that I can't go above one.
When we got to the house, the wifi wasn't working. We tried a few things and then called the corporation that manages the property, Vacasa. Long wait, but they gave me a ticket number, then no followup. So I texted with the corporation and would ask for help and every single time, they would start with asking me to reset the modem, and then promising to send local help. Which was never followed up on! And then I'd hear nothing, so I'd write in to see about progress, and they'd start in again at, "Can you reset the modem". I felt so entirely disregarded and ignored!
The thing is, my own house doesn't have wifi, so my kids were really looking forward to wifi in the house as part of the vacation treat. And it was so incredibly frustrating that I just couldn't get anybody to care about the problem and help fix it! Plus a couple of their people told me there was a service outage, but this was a bald lie, because I checked with the local ISP, and there was no service outage. So: the missing wifi was a really big deal for my family. Vacasa ended up refunding me an insulting $50 for the inconvenience. I would have far rather had help than the tiny refund. I will never, never, never stay at a place managed by Vacasa, ever again. I will look for rentals by OWNER, not corporation!
