Parking is located offsite and a shuttle provides transportation from the parking lot to the property. In order to reach the offsite parking lot please follow the below instructions. Take the Trans Canada Highway heading west towards Field and Golden, BC. The turnoff to Emerald Lake Lodge is located 1 kilometer west of Field, BC. Follow the road for 8 kilometers until a sign that says 'Overnight Guest Parking.' Turn left into the parking lot. In the parking lot is a cabin. Use the telephone in the cabin to call the front desk. A shuttle will be sent to pick up guests.

Not mobility supportive

I have mobility challenges and have small dogs whose feet freeze so I brought the wagon to move about with them. I didn’t realize how any steps it would be to get to my cabin. It was very challenging to carry a wagon up and down that many steps to get to and from the main lodge for meals. The walkway from the lodge to the cabin was not lit. As someone with walking challenges this was not good. I asked for a room with less stairs and was told that wasn’t an option.

Beautiful Place

Emerald Lake Lodge was a beautiful place to stay. Being surrounded by the mountains enhances the experience. I was not expecting there to be no cell service, but there was wifi in a few spots. The room was comfortable. The fireplace was a lovely place to sit in front of to drink the Canadian Berry Tea that was in the room! There are also a lot of hiking trails to check out.

The lodge and dining are excellent. The scenery is second to none. The cabins are beautiful, quaint, quiet and so charming. The bathrooms in the cabins could use an update, but we understand how they are a part of the quaint charm of the place. We will be going back again for sure.

Emerald Lake Lodge offers a truly breathtaking location, surrounded by majestic mountains and a stunning frozen lake. The scenery is like something out of a storybook. While the lodge's charm is undeniable, the rooms could use some updating, as the furniture and mattresses are due for replacement. On the other hand, the clubhouse and restaurants were excellent, with superb service from the staff. Overall, the lodge's setting and hospitality make it a memorable destination.
