1969 is more than just an address, it’s also the motif of the house. Old. Dated. Shocking since it was built in the 90’s.
Six week later Laura B’s feedback is still relevant. The homeowner does not seem interested in the suggestions the property management company is making.
The cons: The kitchen is minimally stocked at best, no sponge, no salt & pepper. The house rocks in the wind, it feels scarier than it actually is structurally, but it’s a fairly easy fix. The metal straps under the house are all heavily rusted, this house would not be save in severe weather. The windows do not open, they actually have old notes written on them, so it’s not a new problem. The blinds do not have stings to go up & be able to have a clear view of the ocean from the master. The windows are very dirty/dated & they have some kind of film over them. The only light in the master bedroom is the lamp on the nightstand. The lights in the fan do not work. The TVs are very dated - think big box (our kids didn’t know what they were), it would be better to have one nice TV in the living room & none in the bedrooms. While sweeping the deck I found a raiser blade.
Pros: the management company was very responsive. We needed help with a drain in the shower & they came same day. The location is legit, perfect to get to town & great for the kids with the beach. If you have feral kids, like we do, there is very little your kids could do to this place that would be noticeable.
