We soooooooo much enjoyed our stay at this Hilton. We had easy access to the beach from our hotel, comfortable room, super friendly staff, close to activities in the area, and overall a great place to stay in Gulf Shores. We were looking for a condo only to find that staying at this Hilton was a better way to go. We have a dog and pets were welcomed. Many guests had dogs. And if you stay there and meet a woman on the cleaning staff with a dog named Chester - ask her about her dog and tell her hi from the Wisconsin people who so enjoyed how nice she was to us. Stay here - I strongly recommend it.

Two Nights on Our Florida Journey from Canada

Our stay included our small dog. The area provided (a small grass strip) for our dog to do his business was very small and noisy. When other dogs were present it made it even worse for all dogs involved to do their business. Other than this everything else was excellent. Bridget at the front desk had the perfect personality for the position. Made us feel welcomed and important.

Adequate hotel room to spend the night. Wouldn't want to stay there long term. Rooms have been updated and were clean and sufficient. New pool is being build. Staff was friendly.

Really liked the location and most features. Tub in bath slow to drain. Was supposed to get moved back to beachfront room but staff didn’t put in the computer. Staff very friendly.

Great beachfront view, too bad we couldn’t see it

I paid extra for a beach view. See enclosed picture of what I first got…not only very difficult to see any view of the ocean, they were remodeling the pool and made it a worse eye sore. I get that remodels need to take place at some point, but no apologies or acknowledgement. We mentioned that we paid extra and were told they could only guarantee a view at the ‘Beach Front’ level, not ‘Beach View’. So why even offer any kind of upgrade like I did? Felt very misleading and a difficult position for front desk personnel. We asked if we could switch and they said they were full. We then asked if any days of our trip were open and she said two days were but then we would have to switch back. We said we’d take any better days and she said she couldn’t change it, but she would leave a note for the next person. When we came down the next morning to switch, that person said there was no note and no beach fronts available. She did at least move us away from the hole in the ground pool, but as you can see from the second pic, a far cry from a beach view. Overall, we felt like an inconvenience when it came to service…no clean towels like we asked for, no one hour later check out granted, etc. When we asked for towels the next day after not receiving any the day prior, we were told we had to ask for them by 10:00am which had passed. And then when we checked out at the end, there were $11 daily parking fees assessed that no one mentioned at check in. They did end up refunding half the fees

This was in a great location right by the beach. Unfortunately it was so loud at night with people partying on the balcony that sleeping with the door open so we could hear the ocean at night was intolerable. A Boise policy would serve everyone well.
