We were a bit worried about the size of the room at first. It was mostly a bed and a bathroom. We could barely fit our suitcases. We became accustomed to the room which we used primarily to sleep and dress.We spent most of our time exploring the town outside. We enjoyed walking through the morning market nearby and choosing the different places to eat at. Everything tasted wonderful. We took advantage of the hotel’s onsen, lounge and coffee dispenser machine. We enjoyed our stay at the Tokyo Stay Hakodate!

Perfect stay in Hakodate.
Really enjoyed our stay. Few minutes walk from the JR station, onsen on the top floor, washer dryer in the room and what I love the most is breakfast at the morning seafood market. There are 17 participating restaurants you can choice from. I really love this concept, it reduces food waste and also supports the local economy. If you are coming to Hakodate, don’t hesitate and book Tokyo Stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel but with one major issue. The location is good. It is near the train station and the market. My wife enjoyed the bath. However, the temperature in the room is very hot. We were uncomfortable by the heating. There is no control for the heater in the room. Also, the breakfast is outside in the market with selected restaurants only.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Akarinoyu! Our room was very cozy and had a view of the ocean which was nice! We chose it because of it's close location to the train station but it was also close to many of the attractions Hakodate has to offer including many good seafood and ramen restaurants. The staff was also very friendly and held our bags for us before we left for the train station. Overall great place to stay!

Even a standard double room is spacious and comfortable enough. Location is definitely a plus. JR station, bus terminal, morning market are all within 10 mins walk.

Excellent hotel and great onsen facilities
Beautiful hotel in a central location close to the train station and morning markets. Hotel facilities were wonderful including the indoor and outdoor onsen overlooking the city and the bay. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.
